How do you boil water in a motel?
This is where the nice dock and chairs are supposed to be

My husband was right

The first time I went I was pretty snobbish about the property, but after a couple of stays I could see my husband was speaking reason and that's a very nice little hotel.

The property is owned and operated by a young couple who are slowly improving and trying to make a go of the premises. Courtesy, consideration, and cleanliness were top-notch. It will become a beautiful place in time.

The room was very small but was clean. Property itself was badly in need of maintenance as the lake was virtually not accessible due to grass around the property being knee high. Thought that the property was abandoned when we arrived due to neglected maintenance.

If I could 0 stars I would. Filthy. Garbage found between the bed and the wall. A thick layer of dust on the fire place. Inaccurate wifi password. Bathroom ceiling full of brown condensation marks. The tub was stained and dirty and ants crawling up the walls. Uncomfortable beds. We woke up full of ants. Owner was belligerent when confronted stating "you must have brought the ants in." He declined refund multiple times however he did refund in the end and apologized. I absolutely will alert people about this. I understand dated rooms but You can not slack on cleaning or cut corners.

The first room was filthy… bathroom floor was not swept or washed.. the tub was stained and full of crusty mildew … the tub Matt had black mould on it.. the show tray was dirty… so I switched rooms .. this room had dust everywhere and the matress was stained

I cant say enough about this property. This is our second visit to the Edgewater and is our go to when stopping over in Liskeard area. The previous trip was just to meet family from the south and soend a few days together. This trip was to visit Notre-Dame-du-Nord to finalize our new home plans. The rooms are more then adequate with 1 or 2 double beds (comfy). There is a snall kitchenette with counter top burners, a sink and a fridge. Basic flatware, serving dishes etc were available. The water was hot on the bathroom and the heat was more than adequate. If youre looking for the Hilton, carry on. If youre looking for a safe, quiet and comfortable place to lay your head this is absolutely for you. I love these 1950s style Motor On Inns where you park at your door.
