Welcome! We love hospitality and are excited to host you at ElKen Retreat in the small, quaint East TX town of Canton!You'll be treated to personalized touches throughout your stay and are sure to walk away with a happy heart because of your experience! This private suite has 4 wonderful Serta icomfort twin beds...1 more guest could join on a comfy rolling bed (over 2 guests, there is an added fee; For 5th guest, we can add an air mattress for comfort, as well!). This is one of 4 rooms and a large Gathering Place that we offer @ ElKen Retreat! If requested, twin beds can be connected (added fee).

This space with the 4 twin beds is part of our continued expansion of Elken Retreat - completed in 2020- connected by the roof, but behind our home. 3 large bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (walk in showers) and a large gathering space with commercial kitchen and half bath. One bedroom has a Serta icomfort (so comfy) King bed and sofa sleeper. Two bedrooms have 4 twin beds (also comfy Serta icomfort beds with high end bedding!)... All rooms have extra space to add a roll in Serta rolling bed for another person. Also available is our King bedroom (attached to our home; separate from this space, but on same property).

Retreat for the weekend: girls trip, Bible study, scrapbook, quilt, spa, leadership retreats, business retreats.
*Retreat pricing is available that would include:
*2 night minimum stay
*Tell us why you are coming and we'll accommodate (pricing can vary)! Spa can include infrared sauna, massage therapy by licensed massage therapist, hot tub, facials, aromatherapy, saltwater pool.
*Use of the Gathering Place - a great room with 3 large tv's, kitchen (rules apply), tables, chairs, relaxing environment, etc...we will accommodate your needs!

Jason is a Licensed Massage Therapist with his office on our property. Book your spa package during your stay! ($100/ hour Added fee- pay after services; not available on Sundays)

Depending on the day and schedules, breakfast options may include omelettes (made to order) or egg casserole, homemade biscuits, bacon, gravy; french toast or muffins. Homemade breakfast is served on weekends only most weekends- please ask & muffins during the week. Sat and sun we normally serve in our dining room or on the back covered porch/pool deck area. If your stay is more than 3 days, we’ll chat about breakfast options on days 4+. We communicate before or during your stay to accommodate our guests as much as possible!

Pool and hot tub are just a few feet outside your space. Hot tub is closed during the summer and pool may be seasonal - inquire! Hot tub is under a covered porch just across from your suite! Hot tub is for guests 18 and older only.

When you arrive, you'll park on concrete or asphalt, walk through a lovely gate and enter into your own private retreat. Walk around the pool to your room. If weather permits, you can enjoy the pool and hot tub, along with a very large covered back porch with tables and chairs.

We have 2 cutie goldendoodles, Hazel and Blair- who may greet you and “talk” occasionally..we quiet them as quickly as we can!!
During your stay at this guesthouse, you'll be within walking distance of Yesterland Farm. You'll find features like free breakfast, plus an outdoor pool and a hot tub.

Perfect for our one night stay to visit Yesterland (which is literally 1 minute away). The owners have thought of everything. Lots of thoughtful touches. The kids really enjoyed the cookies and muffins provided for breakfast. It was very quiet and easy for our DoorDasher to find. We would likely need more square footage if staying more than a night or 2 but for one or 2 nights, it is great!

A little glimpse of Heaved on earth.

Jennifer and Jason were fantastic hosts and their place was a perfect escape from the day to day grind. The beds were so comfortable, the food was delicious, and the whole place was very inviting. This was our second visit and we'll be back again!

Ladies Canton trip not long enough!

This place was amazing! Everything was super clean and seemed brand new! Owners were very attentive to our every need. Hot tub was super relaxing after walking all day at the trade days. Plan on booking another stay soon!

Elken Resort Magic!

Absolute perfect place to stay, especially if attending First Monday Trade Days. The hosts, Jason and Jennifer are so friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and well suited for our girls trip. We asked for suggestions for restaurants and enjoyed a wonderful steak at a family owned business. After sleeping on possibly the best mattress I’ve ever been on, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast cooked by Jason and were entertained with the best/worst dad jokes! Girl's Weekend

We booked two nights at Elken and we're so glad we did! Jenn and Jason were excellent hosts. The property is peaceful and just what we needed. We enjoyed the pool, lots of conversation and Breakfast each morning (especially Saturdays). The rooms are perfect! No detail left out. We had a great time and hope to return.

Wonderful!

I can’t find a word perfect enough to describe this beautiful place and the people who own it. Very communicative, on top of things, and even sociable to my kids and I. The pool was very clean along with the room. They were responsive on giving us more towels and coffee when needed. The massage was amazing I even got a second. Will be returning. Loved EVERYTHING about this stay, almost. Jason and Jennifer are AMAZING humans who really take pride in their property and your experience. A few things that made my heart smile were personal notes by the suite door at arrival and at your placemat at breakfast, QTIPS!!!, s’mores brought to the door, hot tub jets, and Jason’s attempt of being a stand up/sit down comedian, and just how friendly they were. Wasn’t a fan of the put together bed that slid apart throughout the night but I think that can be fixed, minor detail. My girl was happy for her birthday and that makes me super happy. Thank you for being GREAT hosts!

Charming. Quaint. Home.

To begin our spring break, my daughter (9) and I were guests at the Elken Retreat. Early communications with hosts Jason and Jennifer made me feel comfortable about our trip. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. We made our way to our suite and immediately were overwhelmed with how cute the decor and finishings were. The small touches made us feel welcome. Not only were the unexpected chocolate chip cookies delicious (yes, we ate them all), so were the muffins and fruit! Thank you Jason and Jennifer for being attentive, responsive, and present! Continued blessings for what I now consider a home away from our home! You'll see us again!

Me and my three sisters stayed here for a “girls” weekend without kiddos. It could not have been better! The hosts, Jason and Jennifer, are not only precious, but incredible at creating a beautiful, relaxing escape for people. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged, from the quality of the beds/linens, to the amazing s’mores set up, pleasant music, and even name plates and thoughtful signage throughout. This is the perfect place for any kind of girls trip/romantic getaway/scrapbook retreat, etc. The setting is convenient to all the cute shops in Canton, the rooms have everything you could possibly need (including extra toothbrush), and the hot tub and pool are divine! I will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing hospitality! You are wonderful people and I wish you the best!

Amazing Hosts and Beautiful Property

My friends and I enjoyed a weekend away at the ELKen Retreat and we absolutely loved the entire atmosphere. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of and was a fantastic communicator. Jason made the most beautiful and delicious breakfasts and made sure to keep the property amenities clean and usable. We will definitely be visiting again and would recommend to anyone!

Definitely stay here!!

We stayed here for a moms’ getaway on a non-trades day weekend. This place was perfect for our stay! Jennifer is so friendly and responsive right from the start—they were always available to answer any questions. The homemade breakfasts were such a treat and so filling! We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub and several of us got massages as well. Jason and Jennifer were also great at offering suggestions on restaurants, coffee, and shopping! We thoroughly enjoyed their property and were able to unwind and relax. Lots of nice little touches and perks—Jennifer is such a gifted hostess! We will definitely be back!
