Villa Clara is a beautiful villa located in the municipality of Tertenia (Nuoro), on the eastern coast of Sardinia in the stunning Ogliastra region. This ancient land, once home to shepherds, is rich in history and traditions, as evidenced by its impressive 77 Nuragic towers. Located just 100 km from Cagliari, it is the perfect destination for an authentic Sardinian escape.
Villa Clara is situated in the seaside area known as Sarrala (Marina di Tertenia). Lovingly built by its owner, Clara, the villa enjoys a truly privileged location. Set on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside, it offers beautiful sea views and is surrounded by a 6,000 m² unfenced garden filled with fruit trees, myrtle, bougainvillea, roses, lemon trees, ancient olive trees, and a magnificent pink pepper tree. The scents and peaceful atmosphere make this a true oasis of relaxation.
Within just a 5-minute drive, you can reach several beautiful beaches, including Foxi Manna and Foxi Murdegu. These wide sandy beaches feature crystal-clear, gently sloping waters, making them ideal for families and swimmers of all ages. They are easily accessible and offer both free and paid parking.
A charming beach kiosk rents umbrellas and sun loungers and serves excellent local cuisine with outstanding hospitality.
The Space
You can conveniently park your car in the private entrance courtyard. Here you'll also find an outdoor cold-water shower, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
Villa Clara welcomes you with spacious, bright interiors. The high ceilings, finished with traditional woven bamboo reeds using an ancient Sardinian technique, together with handcrafted terracotta floors, create an elegant and refined atmosphere throughout the house.
The open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen with two dining tables for indoor meals, a comfortable lounge overlooking the garden through a spectacular floor-to-ceiling window, and direct access to the wonderful furnished patio. The outdoor area includes an 8-seat dining table, white wicker sofas, and a barbecue, making it ideal for relaxing or dining al fresco.
The living area is equipped with air conditioning. On the ground floor you will also find the first bathroom with a washing machine, as well as a storage room that can be used as a pantry or for luggage.
An elegant staircase, decorated with beautiful antique blue ceramic tiles, leads to the sleeping area upstairs. Here you'll find three bedrooms, all equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning for maximum comfort. The spacious upstairs bathroom features a large shower and double washbasins.
The sea-view bedroom includes a charming antique French-size bed, a wardrobe, an antique writing desk, and a small library available for guests.
The second double bedroom opens onto a rear terrace where a beautiful wisteria vine provides shade and fills the air with its delightful fragrance.
The third bedroom offers two charming antique single boat beds and a large wardrobe.
Villa Clara is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Please Note
The outdoor porch area is occasionally visited by friendly stray cats looking for food or affection. They do not enter the house, but you may see them around the property. We simply ask guests to treat them however they feel comfortable.
You may also occasionally spot hedgehogs, especially at night. They are completely harmless and very charming, but we like to let guests know in advance, particularly if they are travelling with pets or are uncomfortable around wildlife.

City Tax: € 1,50 per person per night to pay at check-in for a maximum of 7 nights
