The space
Our 5-bedroom chalet is a fusion of the rustic and the contemporary. Modern amenities and conveniences have been incorporated in the cottage without altering the character of the place. With its open concept interior and oversized windows, the social spaces are awash with natural light.

The cottage consists of three distinct yet seamlessly interconnected areas: the main house, the basement and the in-law suite. With its 5 bedrooms, 11 beds and 3.5 bath, it can comfortably host 16 guests. Four additional guests may be accommodated with the 2 sofa beds and 2 rollaway beds.

THE MAIN HOUSE

The KITCHEN and the DINING rooms are located at the ground floor of the main quarters. Rounding up the ground floor are three sitting rooms functionally distinct from each other. Drink in the beauty of the landscape from the PIANO ROOM while sipping your favorite drink. Head to the REC ROOM and ante-up for a fabulous night of poker, carromboard or darts. Sink into the sofas at the FAMILY ROOM and lose yourself in the labyrinth of world channels on the latest widescreen TV. Step out unto the DECK and give in to your childhood fascination with the stars as you view the constellations with awe through the telescope.

On the second floor of the main house are three spacious bedrooms, which can comfortably sleep 8, a full bath and the laundry room.

THE IN-LAW SUITE

The in-law suite lies west of the main quarters. It has a bedroom loft which sleeps 2 and a receiving area which can transform into additional sleeping quarters for 2, a cozy reading nook away from the hustle and bustle of the main quarters or a safe haven for kids to play in. The suite features an ensuite full bath, a fully automated STEAM ROOM and its own private BALCONY.

THE OUTDOORS

The FIRE PIT just outside the front porch awaits company on balmy autumn nights.

The GAZEBO offers an inviting space outdoors, protected from the sun and rain, with no physical borders nor limits to one’s perception of the grounds and the mature trees that dot the property. It presents itself as an outdoor dining space for family gatherings and dinner parties, an intimate space for private conversations or simply for quiet reflection.

The well-maintained LAWN summons the athlete within through a friendly match of volleyball, soccer, badminton or frisbee, an obstacle course and even a mini-marathon! The options are as endless as the imagination and stamina allows.

Finally the solitary tire, chained securely and dangling invitingly from a tree branch, beckons to “swing” back in time and remember the joy that comes with lifting your feet off the ground and relinquishing control to a force greater than yourself.

Guests will have access to the entire cottage and are welcome to use its amenities.

Other things to note
SECURITY
Monterra Cottage is being monitored under video surveillance. Security cameras are strategically installed at the cabin entrances, driveways and outdoor posts. However, to respect guest privacy, there are no cameras inside the cottage.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL
Kindly ensure that ALL trash (from the kitchen and the bathrooms) are collected and packed properly and securely in garbage bags. Then, please remember to take the bags and dump them INSIDE the red and blue wooden BIN by the driveway before you leave.

NUMBER OF GUESTS
Please note that the listed price is for a booking of up to 4 guests. Should you have more than 4 guests, please inform the host so that additional beds can be prepared for you and the pricing can be adjusted accordingly.

BED LINENS
All beds are provided with freshly laundered & sanitized pillows, pillow covers, fitted sheet, flat sheet and a comforter.

BATHROOM AMENITIES
All bathrooms are provided with bath towels, hand towels, hand soap, trash bin liners and tissue rolls. Guests are reminded to bring their own soap, shampoo & conditioner.

KITCHEN AMENITIES
The kitchen is equipped with a fully functional 4-burner stove and oven, microwave, electric kettle, bread toaster, dishwasher and refrigerator. Cookware and utensils are also provided along with ample glassware, crockery and flatware to ensure a pleasurable cooking and dining experience.

RECREATION AMENITIES
Guests are welcome to use the entertainment & recreation amenities at the cottage: fire pit, gazebo, pingpong table, poker set, dartboard, board games and telescope. Don't forget to bring your preferred sports gear & equipment to fully utilize the lawn for maximum FUN.

This chalet offers its guests ski-in/ski-out access, an arcade/game room, and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
