Take a peaceful detour to the Hunker Inn and find a retro retreat in an old historic building. The Hunker Inn is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment attached to The Hunkerdown, a family friendly coffee shop in a historic general store. It is the perfect location for cyclists with many scenic routes just outside the doors. It is also within a few miles of the quaint historic town of Union, Second Creek Fly fishing, the Greenbrier River, and Moncove Lake.

This historic building was originally a general store built in the very early 1900's. After the general store, and before it sat vacant for many years, it was home to Bob & Bob International caving supplies. The building is currently home to The Hunkerdown coffee shop, Sinks Grove Chiropractic, and this one bedroom apartment converted to airbnb.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The king size bed has an organic Avocado mattress to give you a restful night sleep. There are also two twin fold out beds that are available, and reported to be quite comfortable. These can be combined for a king size bed, or used separately as twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, baking supplies, coffee, and even a popcorn popper. The furniture and decor throughout the space holds a retro vibe that makes the apartment unique and comfortable. The living room has a 52" smart television that is ready for your viewing pleasure. There is even a fire pit in the back yard ready for your evening enjoyment.

This property has been a labor of love and encompasses many avenues of our creative entrepreneurship. Come visit Monroe County, and be mesmerized by it's beauty and friendly communities.

Guests have access to the one bedroom apartment, but are also welcome to visit the coffee shop during business hours. Please keep dogs on a leash when outside. There is a neighbor dog who is often off leash, but is friendly.
