Late check out denied

Everything was cool until the morning I checked out. I asked the front desk clerk if I could get a 30 minute late checkout. He refused, saying I would be charged if I checked out late. Most hotels will grant a slight grace period when checking out. Not this one I guess

I recommend that you do not use this hotel. Read to bottom for full details of why. This property is very basic, offering fewer facilities than many similar hotels. The condition of the premises and rooms is poor. Our room curtains had holes in and the carpet was threadbare. When we wanted a hot drink (before 9pm) the drinks machine in the reception area was turned off and the only way of getting hot water was a microwave in another part of the hotel (there were no facilities in the rooms.) To top it off, the hotel have double charged us for the two rooms we had booked. Three weeks later I am still trying to get this sorted - but it has so far proved impossible (phone not answered and no response to messages). I thought that this was just a mistake, but it is now looking more like fraud.

Truly a 2 star hotel, even for the price it was hard to justify. Wouldn't recommend unless you don't have any other options.
