Convenience to the park is its only attribute. Run down. Barely clean. No room service between nights. Unwelcoming office staff at check in.

I selected the three bed option which turned out to be an entire house. It was nice to have a full size refrigerator, but the price was more than $250 per night. That’s roughly what I spent for a night in downtown San Francisco at the Westin hotel. The TV didn’t work for two nights which was our main complaint.

Upon arrival, the "cottage" I had reserved wasn't available for an unknown reason. The front desk offered us 2 hotel rooms or a house somewhere off property. Since we had already bought food for cooking breakfast the next morning, we opted for the house. We had to go to a different hotel back in town to get the key. Got the key, put the address we were given into Google maps, but couldn't locate the property. Went back to the hotel, and they had an employee lead us there. It was a headache, but luckily worked out in the end.

Outdated, stained carpet floors, hair on the bed sheets, stairs going to 2nd level was uneven and falling apart. Check-in and check-out was easy/convenient. There was no internet service in town so be sure to print out directions to hotel. They do offer shuttle service to amd from the park. The hotel is way overpriced for what they offer and the condition of the hotel.

The only good thing was the location. Staff and service was VERY limited! Room was outdated, dirty, and had ants in it. Note in room read that lights and airconditioner must be turned off when not in room or you will be charged $25.00 a day. Key drop box is an unsecured basket attached to the outside office door. We were accused of taking the room key that was left in the basket after leaving a day early. The missing key remains unresolved at this point. We sent a picture of it in the basket and even called after no response.

While the room appeared to have new flooring and some new paint, the ceilings, bathroom tile, air vents, and windows were dirty. The thin sheet didn't fit on the bed and kept coming off. There was no mattress protector on the bed and it appeared to be a fairly old mattress. We had planned to eat breakfast at the business next door shortly after 7 am based on information provided at check in. However this information was inaccurate and we had to locate a breakfast option 30 minutes away which impacted our plans for the day. If you rent a room with a kitchenette like this one, realize it is not furnished with items for cooking.

Room was not ready when we checked in at 4PM. We left our bags and later returned to find the room to be unclean. Next day, we reminded the cleaning staff to clean the room. They said "yes", but it was not cleaned. When I checked with the front desk in the evening, I was told that, they will not clean the room on a daily basis. We had to clean ourselves. This is not okay.

The property is really rundown and it was pretty dirty, especially the carpet. There are no outlets near the bed to charge anything. The AC didn’t work great and the room was a sauna when I arrived. It is very close to the start of sequoia, but honestly you’d be better off to stay in Fresno and enter on the kings canyon side. It takes an hour to drive into sequoia from oakhurst and I WAY over paid for this stay and the conditions.

It was very close to sequoia national park. The price was reasonable. Great little cafe next-door. Not many amenities. The bed was fine. Sheets were rough. Toilet wiggled badly. The shower was very difficult to regulate and then shut off. The coffee carafe was dirty. With a little effort, it would be a nice place to stay. The place was older and a little worse for wear.
