I don't understand staffs who are confidently telling me that the air conditioner is broken and can't be fixed during the peak summer season. But the lobby is air conditioned. I was traveling across Canada and this hotel is the only disappointment.

Had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get into the hotel. Then the front desk had me sign a guarantee that there would be no smoking in the room. When we got to the room it smelled of of smoke ( neither of us smoke) called the front desk and they just said they would make a note of it. All night people were going out the emergency doors and setting off the alarms hard to sleep when the alarms are going off every 20 to 30 minutes. We did not go in the pool but the area looked terrible. There was only a couple of people in the pool but wet towels everywhere and tables covered in garbage. Not a pleasant experience.

Staff very friendly. I wore socks in the room, and my wife noticed the bottom of my white socks were black! Plus we were given 3 hot breakfast tickets, but the restaurant doesn't open until 8am, not ideal for people traveling. Will not go back.

Family vacation

Unfortunately this was a terrible start to our vacation. From worms in the couch bed, to loud noises pretty much all night. Checked in at 1:30am and got 2 hours sleep due to all the noise, with a 15 hour drive ahead the next day. So just very disappointed with this property.

Property was extremely dirty, hotel not kept up. Chrck in was ok, but no remorse for their broken AC in the rooms. They gave fans, but nothing else to compensate, just said you can go sonewhere else, yet at the time hotels around the area were 3xs more. Rooms were ok, dirty bathroom, thin doors, smelly hallways. Area felt a little unsafe/sketchy. Pool was very ditry, didn't even let my kids swim. It served it purpose as we were only there for 6 hours but was unable to get much sleep as every time someone else shut their doors our door would shake. Wouldnt not go back there, would rather sleep in my car.

Hotel and staff were very nice, however there was a conference happening in the building, and I think guests were taking advantage of the occasion to party. Woke up to what sounded like someone trying to break into our room. Had one of those doors between our rooms and people in the room nextdoor kept slamming into it.

The room, staff, and hotel were excellent but we had to contend with evacuees from forest fires in Northern Ontario who flooded the hotel facility. Guests and evacuees in the same hotel are not an ideal situation.

Hotel was packed with a lot of people who had been evacuated because of the wild fires. Everyone seemed to be doing their absolute best in dealing with a difficult situation. Staff was outstanding and really rose to the occasion. Room was recently renovated and very comfortable. Overall the hotel is fine, but I found the staff exceptionally courteous and kind.
