We stayed at this Microtel for one night and it was an extremely disappointing experience.
The staff was unpleasant and unprofessional from the start. Our mattress had visible blood stains, which we immediately brought to their attention. It was brushed off with no concern and no offer to change rooms. When we asked for extra bedding for our son, it was simply thrown onto a table in the lobby and we were expected to set it up ourselves.
We also alerted staff that the elevator floor was covered in animal feces. There was no apology and no indication whether it was cleaned by staff or left for another guest to deal with.
The second floor had no hot water, which was especially unacceptable given we were visiting in late December and the weather was very cold. During checkout, we overheard multiple guests from the same floor complaining and being offered full refunds. Despite reserving two separate rooms, we were offered nothing.
To make matters worse, the rooms we were given were not what we paid for. When we pointed this out, staff argued that we had been given “higher priced” rooms—which is concerning, because the rooms we stayed in were in very poor condition. Bedding, linens, and towels were low quality and frankly disgusting, and the rooms themselves looked worn down and falling apart.
Overall, this was an unacceptable stay. We would not return and do not recommend this location.
