Casa de los platanos

Ondanks dat we wat meer privacy hadden verwacht, hebben we genoten van La Palma en La casa. Huis en tuin verdienen wel wat aandacht, andere bank, nieuwe koekenpan e.d. wat meer bloemen in de tuin....maar we zijn op het eiland én huis verliefd geworden, dus hopelijk tot snel

Ein wirklich schönes palmerisches Haus

Wunderbares Haus mit ein paar Tücken! Wir waren dort zwei Wochen. Die erste Woche war die kälteste Zeit, die wir jemals auf La Palma verbracht haben. Mit 16 Grad Höchsttemperatur, Regen und eisigem Wind. Da die Fenster im Erdgeschoss noch alte hölzerne Schiebefester sind, ist bei einem schlimmen Unwetter das Regenwasser durch die Fenster gedrungen. Alle Räume im Westen waren geflutet. Leider auch der Abstellraum mit den elektrischen Geräten. Das elektrische Heizgerät war klatschnass und konnte nicht genutzt werden. Es gab aber genügend warme Decken im Haus ;-). Da es 4 Betten im Erdgeschoss sind (die besten Betten die wir jemals in einem Ferienhaus hatten), waren auch nur 4 Teller groß, 4 Teller tief, 4 Tassen, 4 Gläser, 4 Gabeln usw. vorhanden, wir mussten jeden Tag spülen. Eine Ärgerlichkeit die nicht sein muss! Die Küchengeräte sind allerding sehr gut und man konnte alles Kochen und Backen. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die urige Aussenküche mit der großen Paellapfanne, die wir bei einem Treffen mit einer Freundin sehr gut nutzen konnten. Wir fanden das Haus wirklich schön und erwägen es ein weiteres Mal zu buchen!

Great location and pleasant house for resting

We had a very pleasant stay in this house with a very responsive and supportive person that is dealing with the guest. The shortcoming of communication (Victor speaks only Spanish) was well managed through messaging through the agency renting this house that has been very responsive. The house is fully and well equipped for a pleasant stay for a family of 4 (on the ground floor). It is well located in the warmer part of the Island and is in a very calm environment. The garden facing the house entrance is charming. The only shortcoming (that is unfortunately frequent in most rental houses) is the level of cleaning: first sight is fine but less when getting in the details. It would also be nice to have a real table and chairs for 4 to have outside lunch near the barbecue area. The terrace behind the main room is a little dull surrounded by green house.

Das Haus war bei Ankunft noch nicht fertig gereinigt, außerdem in den Ecken der oberen Küche schmutzig. Die Kommunikation mit Viktor war schwierig. Er konnte nur bruchstückhaft Englisch, Deutsch gar nicht. Außerdem war das Haus im Hinblick auf Gläser und Porzellan nur dürftig ausgestattet. Schön war, dass am Mittwoch die Handtücher ausgetauscht wurden und der Ausblick von der Terrasse war super. Sehr nett war auch die Obstschüssel und der Wein zur Begrüßung.
