Great property. The room, although a bit dated, was clean and had a great view. The hotel has an amazing garden, beautiful at night and during the day. I also liked that the hotel offers different dinning options.

Great hotel and very comfortable for our last night in Tokyo before a long flight home. Restaurant times and locations were a bit hard to figure out (Especially across the 4 resorts) We ended up eating offsite as nobody seemed interested to tell us what was available when we asked 3 different people. Also the Spa refuses visitors with Tattoos, which to me is silly considering the hotel is catering to foreigners and business people in an American style hotel.

This the perfect option of you want to stay in Tokyo and want to enjoy a quiet stay without spending a fortune. Shibuya and Shinjuku are often mentioned as convenient locations for tourists, however I found these areas to be fun and exciting but not exactly the quiet I desire at a hotel. The Grand Prince Takanawa Hotel is very quiet and the rooms were clean. The hotel is near affiliate hotels like the Grabd Prince Shin Takanawa and the Prince Hotel. Where we stayed is about a five minute walk to Shinagawa station. This station is a major hub to catch the Shinkansen to Kyoto as well as the JY -Yamamoto line to get to popular areas like Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibiya, just to name a few. As for the rooms, I thought they were a perfect size and comparable to the size of US hotel rooms, as I was concerned my friend and I would feel cramped since hotel rooms tend to be smaller in Japan. The staff was very kind to us. We ate at one of the nearby steak house restaurants in the hotel, called Teppanyaki Katsura which was absolutely delicious. The hotel was close to 7/11 and it has a 7/11 shop inside the hotel which we found out a day before we checked out. My friend and I opted out of having breakfast while we were there so I can't speak on that. I plan to stay here if I come back to Tokyo!

This location is quiet and away from all the chaos in Tokyo. The garden is beautiful especially at night. There is a 7-eleven inside the Hotel property so that was really nice! However it is a little bit of a hike from Shinagawa Station the road is a bit uphill so keep that in mind if you have big luggages. The staff are nice and always ready to help!

Good for business or vacation

I usually stay here on business due to its convenience and large rooms but this time I came with my family for a vacation. The family loved the garden, with koi and cherry blossoms-a peaceful oasis amid the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The hotel is readily accessible to the airport, Shinkansen, as well as tourist attractions. I would highly recommend for any stay in Tokyo.
