First time staying at Hotel Ann Asakusa. I liked the quiet location that was close to both Ueno and Asakusa (right next to Kappabashi street). Pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet it was. Also a plus that they have 3 washer/dryer machines on the first floor for laundry.
Location was great really close to the famous cook wear district, and the temple. The amenities were also great, with a lobby stocked with personal things, with a vending machine, and microwaves for late night snacks! The room was spacious with a double bed and small sofa.
The only downside was the bed itself. Many others had wrote the bed was uncomfortable and hard. And unfortunately it was true. I do think I was so tried after so much exploring I wouldn’t have a hard time falling asleep. So it’s not bad just not the best.
Overall I do recommend the hotel for its other great amenities!
This place was awesome. The people were great. Their response times were fantastic. Really nice. The room was great as well. Would definitely come back.
The hotel room is small, tho there are 2 twin bed, bathroom is also so small, my husband is 6 foot 2 inches, my son is also tall. I know it is basic in Japan to have smaller rooms, but we didn’t anticipate how small the room could be. We have to stay in the lobby most of the time so we can breathe. We don’t need to ask for toiletries because it’s in the lobby as well as coffee and tea w/c is a plus. The hotel
keys needs to be replaced, it’s too old and worn out. Staff are nice, we don’t really see them because whatever we need, it’s in the lobby.

Location is nice but room is so small and bathroom is super small.
We got what we paid for - a cheaper business hotel. The beds were hard! The washrooms are incredibly tight, so anyone taller than 5'10 really needs to consider, esp with how tight the space is for the toilet.
Hotel was clean.

The room is very small, not enough space to move around and have suitcases opened (typical size for Tokyo), so this isn’t a major con. But the beds are hard as cardboard and constantly move, cause they aren’t anchored to the wall. We now know what the Olympians slept on. They do daily cleaning but the size of the room makes it hard to really clean fully if you spread out your stuff. The amenities were fully stocked. The area is a saving point. Only one train line gets you to the hotel (Ginza line), within 10 minutes walking from Asukusa shrine and in between there’s lots of shopping and food options
Very convenient hotel, 10 minutes walk away to Sensoji Temple and 5 minutes away from shopping areas. They have a 24/7 reception but to give a safer feel to guests, their main door closes at 12am midnight but just press the intercom on the right side of the entrance and the staff will come asap to open the door. The room is small and compact but it was a reasonable price given that Tokyo area has a lot of people so their rooms are small but very clean. They have amenities at the lobby and laundry facilities.
Loved the design upon the walls of the room and a very comfortable stay. Was super clear and helpful with the luggage forwarding service. Was a bit small the room but to be expected in Tokyi
We stayed here for one week. It was 4 of us and we had adjoining rooms. Great area! Our only complaint is that the beds are hard as rocks and the pillows are so, so flat! On our last night I found out that we can request a mattress pad. Wish I would've known that on day 1. So, if you're not a fan of firm beds I suggest that you request extra pillows and a mattress pad as soon as you check in.
