This is my favorite spot to stay when visiting family in Tokyo. Not just the convenient location to my family, but the friendly staff and the lovely coffee shop in the lobby. The rooms are Spartan—this is a Japanese-style hotel—but we spend little time in the room during our visit. The porch is along a lovely, quiet walkway, so there is no traffic when enjoying the outdoors. I love this place.

Everything was spotless and the staff were very helpful. Great location close to the train station. Breakfast at the coffee shop was delicious, and enjoying it on the hotel's terrace was a great start to reach day!

Great location and staff are nice. Great breakfast and turntables are a nice addition but the hotel is run down - walls are scuffed and marked up with large chunks missing. It feels so run down, especially at this price point. It needs a new carpet and a solid paint job. We stayed at another hotel in Tokyo that was $100 less a night and way nicer!

Fantastic hotel with great facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Shimokitazawa is a great neighborhood and this hotel is in close proximity to the station and hustle and bustle. Great stay all around.

The hotel and surrounding area were very nice and exceeded our expectations, however, our room’s walls were extremely scuffed up by previous guest’s luggage and shoes. Because the hotel has a stark white and minimalist aesthetic, it was very distracting. Management should consider periodically cleaning the walls or repainting. Our interaction with the staff was always enjoyable and the highlight of our stay, they did an excellent job.
