A really good choice.

This was a delightful ryokan with a great location. The room was very clean. The hot spring baths were fabulous. Breakfast was very good as well. Our only negative was that there was very little space in the room for our luggage. That was challenging to navigate.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The beds were comfortable, it is a hard mattress so might not appeal to everyone but I personally thought it was comfortable. Rooms were small and tight as expected, but it was a good use of space. We didn’t use the public onsen as much as I’d like to but it was definitely enjoyable. It’s open until 1am so definitely can make the time to enjoy it. Not to mention the infamous breakfast buffet. Don’t think there’s any hotel breakfast that can beat the unlimited ikura (fish eggs) and blue fin tuna. There was a wide selection of cooked food to choose from, bunch of pickled veggies as well – all food tasted great, but surprisingly I didn’t particularly enjoy the cooked fish. It was slightly overcooked and the fish was dry. They change up the cooked food items every morning so that was nice. Location was great too! Walking distance to a couple of 24 hr food chains and Donki Asakusa so there were things to keep us busy when we woke up at 3am jetlagged. I stayed with my family, 2 young kids and overall a really cozy stay. Definitely coming back.

Perfect location right by Senso-ji, we made it there early in the morning before crowds. The hotel breakfast is the perfect easy to start the day. So much shopping and food within a short walk.

I saw this hotel on social media and am so glad I stayed! The staff are so lovely and sweet and luggage delivery services worked great here. The breakfast was super yummy with both Japanese and Western options. I also liked the room layout as it allowed for separation between the bedroom and bathroom. They also have daily room cleaning service which ensured my space was always clean. The onsen is a must, I definitely wish I used it more and the free ice cream and yakult were a plus. It’s also nice because the laundry service is very convenient and you only have to pay for the dryer, which dried my clothes in one 40min cycle which was highly appreciated as many other hotels I’ve stayed in have required me 1.5-2 hours to dry my clothes. It’s also very women-friendly, with a separate laundry for women :) My only complaint is that the rooms were very hot. I don’t think there is a controllable AC in the room, so I’d have to open the window which sometimes helped. But overall I highly enjoyed my time here and would stay here again when I come to Japan :)

The public baths were clean, and my room was pretty spacious for a solo traveler. I loved the traditional tatami mats and windows for that breath of fresh air. However.. The staff was generally nice, but I noticed they were being quite unprofessional and rude during my check-in process. Some of them went as far as laughing at my documents, assuming I couldn't understand what they were saying. A senior staff member told them to quiet down, but this entire performance didn't go unnoticed. This put me in a bad mood, and I thoroughly didn't enjoy checking in, and felt wary for most of the time I was there. Whether this was for jokes or not, it was STILL unprofessional and unpleasant to have been laughed at, considering this hotel establishment was nice overall, and the amenities were enjoyable. Besides those few employees, I enjoyed my stay here. For future reference, treat everyone with respect, foreigner or not. Most of the time, we can understand despite the language barrier. A common courtesy I would like to see more of in the future, coming from someone who also works in hospitality.
