This hotel is amazing but be warned it is right on the outter layer of the "REDLIGHT" area. You have to walk through the hot spots to get just about anywhere.

Pictures looked better than in person. In fact the picture of the room I booked looked very modern but was very old and out dated. Glad I only had one night here and would not recommend unless you spend the extra money for the “nice” rooms.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Granbell in Shinjuku. I stayed in a15th floor room with a mini kitchen and a separate tub with an amazing view. The buffet style breakfast had everything you could think to include and tasted great. It's just walking minutes from the Golden Gai and the Shinjuku Tower. Every encounter with hotel personnel was exceptional.

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were endless options from yogurt to stew. Everything was delicious and that gave us a good start for the day. The room is small, as expected. We had two twin beds that were pushed together. I expected a little space between them. Staff was excellent and helpful.
