🌿 Good to Know
This is a 1970s bach-style cottage with a few quirks. Some parts creak and we’re gradually renovating over time. The house is compact, so packing light or using shared spaces for bags helps keep things comfortable. The water pressure pump sits outside near Bedroom Three and may turn on occasionally. Rural sounds are part of the stay. You may hear roosters, cows, or horses.
Power cuts are rare but possible. Candles are available just in case.

📍 Tolaga Bay
Tolaga Bay is a small East Coast town where things move slower and shops are limited. There’s a gas station, truck stop, food truck, dairies, lotto shop, a pub, bottle store, and fish and chip shops. Most guests bring groceries from Gisborne before arriving.
What the town lacks in shops, it makes up for with space, quiet, and fresh coastal air.
