The property was fine and had the amenities described; however, a number of cleanliness items took away from the experience. For example, potato chips on front entrance foyer; dishwasher door dirt on outside and inside; toothpaste on the ensuite sink; hairs hanging from the ensuite shower head; chair/couch dirty; cold air intake in family room/kitchen had dirt and/or mold on it; coffee maker not usable due to dirt and/or mold; rolled up decorative towel in ensuite had particles on it that appeared to be from someone's nostrils.Also, shortly after booking the property, we reached out to the owner/manager to ask about adding an extra night to our stay. The property was booked for that extra night, which we understand couldn't be rented to us. Rather than saying that she would let us know if it became available, the owner/manager told us to keep watching the calendar to determine if the date became available. This is the kind of assistance you can expect from this owner.

I had high hopes for our stay here prior to our son’s wedding in St Jacobs. It was a good location for that. The door wouldn’t open upon arrival. The photos were not at all representative of what you get in regards to furnishings. None of the bedrooms have bedside lamps. There are also no lamps in living room. The only lighting in the living room is the overhead potlights, of which there are many. They are not dimmable so it’s either lit up like a runway or dark. There were no bath mats, hand towels, kitchen towels or wash cloths provided. These items are what I’d consider essential. Paper towels were provided in bathrooms for drying hands I guess. Such a waste. The air fryer was dirty. The coffee maker had mold in it. Better attention to detail by cleaners is necessary, hair in shower etc. The host did mention they typically host groups for bachelorette parties. Perhaps we’re too picky. We do have high standards which could have easily been met had we had what was shown in the listing photos. The lovely walk in closet in the primary bedroom was locked leaving us no where to hang our clothes. No dresser in that room either. It was extremely inconvenient staying for 4 nights and not having anywhere to store our clothes. Their claim that the closet is being “renovated” and therefore unavailable was odd considering it looks great in listing photos. We didn’t use the pool or swim spa but the pool was very clean.

The property was everything we expected and more. I highly reccoemend thie house for a weekend bachleor party. And I can see it being very nice for a couple small family's that want to do something fun together!
