The property has clearly been remodeled, and overall my stay was okay, but there were a few things worth noting.The checkout instructions are very firm about leaving by 10:00 AM and mention that late checkout is not possible because the cleaning staff has a tight schedule. Guests are also asked to wash dishes or run the dishwasher before leaving. While I understand turnover timing, the messaging comes across as though guests are expected to help compensate for a rushed cleaning schedule, which felt a bit unusual.Although the listing states that no pets are allowed, there was a noticeable animal odor inside the home. The view was beautiful, but there was also a strong smell of marijuana coming from neighboring units. While that may be legal, it’s difficult to explain that smell to a toddler and it did impact our comfort.After checkout, I received back-to-back messages from the host about a pair of children’s binoculars they believed were missing. I checked our belongings and did not find them. I chose not to engage further, but the messages felt abrupt.Overall, the stay was manageable, but with a few noticeable issues. With some adjustments in communication and attention to guest experience, the stay could feel more elevated.
