Room located above a very loud band playing at a wedding reception. Was not warned in advance. Manager, argumentative, defensive and initially unhelpful. Suggested it was our fault for returning "early" from our event at another location. I think this was wholly irrelevant. I was given a small compensation but the experience was upsetting and disappointing.

Lovely hotel

Very good room. Only bad points are no body lotion, no slippers in the room. Can have 3 full meals at the hotel. Good location and plenty of parking

We enjoyed a relaxing one night stay. We were in room 7 and the bathroom was very small. However we would still return to the hotel. The gardens were superb. We had a drink in the bar and an evening meal plus breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were very good.

The ambiance of this hotel is unique. Great food, comfortable surroundings, beautiful grounds made for a wonderful stay. The only negative was the size of the standard double room which did not have enough room for two average sized suitcases.

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting and gardens. Service excellent , dinner last night was delicious and very reasonably priced. It was good to see the hotel buzzing but not too busy on a Thursday night. Seems to be popular with golfers , but lots of other guests as well.

We stayed as part of my 30th birthday celebrations, it’s been a tradition of mines and my mums for years that at birthdays we’d stay overnight at hotels but we hadn’t done it for a few years and as a surprise she booked the Piersland for my 30th and we had the best time, extremely friendly, comfortable and great value for money all things considering, couldn’t find fault at all! Would definitely recommend
