The location is great. Just up the hill from town but enough elevation that there's a lot of snow even when there isn't much down lower. The house is really well equipped. We cooked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. When we first arrived, there were even a couple of things that were not as expected. But the host was really responsive and had everything resolved very quickly. I'm saving this one at some place we'll come back to.

Comfortable, clean, attractive house

Our two nights in Truckee were great. The house was well stocked, and very clean. Host was responsive. Some minor negatives: Hot water ran out after a couple of showers, check-in info wasn't relayed until the day before. Positives far outweighs the negatives.

We got lucky and were able to book for a last minute weekend get-away. So glad we did! We had never stayed in the Tahoe Donner area and we really loved the walkable neighborhood, friendly neighbors, close amenities and local beauty. The house was very comfortable and clean. More than enough kitchen gadgets and equipment to make a nice meal if that's your thing. (We opted to order a yummy dinner from Pizza on the Hill and lunch sandwiches from the awesome little general store/deli.) We, and our dog, hope to visit again.

Great place to stay in Donner

Overall, this house has everything that you’d need for a wonderful getaway. Great location, just a quick 5 min drive to downtown. Next time, I think the cleaning company they use should use cooler sheets for the summer months (not flannel sheets) and be a little more efficient with cleaning each bedroom. We found empty chip bags and random items that were likely missed. This didn’t ruin our stay by any means but something to keep in mind for the next guest.

Family holiday weekend

Our new favorite Truckee retreat!The cabin was modern, clean and comfortable. Wonderful open living space with wood burning stove and open kitchen and dining. Kitchen was fully stocked, with extras, plenty of cooking ware, and everything simple and easy to use. Spa was very nice clean and also easy to use. We’re already looking forward to a return visit. Highlight was a giant front yard for the kids to play in the snow. Beautiful neighborhood.
