Adelaide's barn is a spacious, comfortable self-contained apartment for up to two people. It is the perfect gateway for exploring both Blenheim wine country and the Marlborough Sounds. Located in Tuamarina nearby the Tuamarina track, the Whale Trail bike path, and State Highway 1, it is an ideal location for those looking for a home base for vacationing or for seasonal work in the vineyards. With Rarangi beach, horseback riding, fishing, excellent restaurants and cafes, wine tasting, hunting, golf, biking, and much, much more in close proximity, there is plenty to explore and do. With pockets of native bush and wetlands, the property itself is a tranquil country retreat for birds and humans alike.

Zachary and Lucy are caring, thoughtful hosts who enhance the absolutely beautiful surroundings. The barn stay is relaxing and luxurious. The bedroom is incredibly romantic, as is the breathtaking landscape. We were greeted with smiles and a kitchen full of breakfast foods and homemade goodies from Lucy, who is an excellent baker/cook. From delicious tarts to mouthwatering granola, we felt completely pampered with treats. The yard is private, peaceful, and full of blooming flowers and fruits.The kitchen is well appointed for two guests with two large windows. Lots of walking trails along the nearby river, loads of cellar doors for tasting wine, and the beach is just a few minutes away. This is a place to return to, again and again. It’s rejuvenating!
