Ranch Guest House

Newly renovated, beautiful and self contained casita on a 4 acre retired horse ranch. Completely private and quiet. A long driveway leads to a detached casita which is on the opposite side of the main home at the back of the property. Desert & mountain views. Dining area, living room, kitchenette, large bedroom , full bath, and private porch and side grassy yard with views. Shopping, restaurants, and recreation nearby.

Perfect place to start an adventure from with biking lanes immedately available.
The space
Retired 4 acre horse ranch now has no large animals but plenty of space for a quiet visit. Newly updated everything for your visit. Large main room that contains the kitchen, work space, dining area an living area. Oversized bedroom contains a queen bed and queen futon.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the southern guest house and walled in yard and porch. Guests will also have access to two covered parking spots and the ability to walk and explore the entire ranch area. Long-term guests will also have access to washer and dryer.

It’s a small guest house behind the main house on a horse ranch. The surroundings are desert scrub and horse enclosures ( no horses at present). No bad smells, very quiet, and birds sing to you every morning. The kitchen seemed well equipped although we didn’t cook during our stay. Comfortable bed and full bath with tub and shower. Laundry machines are in the back of the other building but it was very convenient. Conveniently quite close to good Tucson restaurants ( 5-20 minutes drive, depending on whether you’re in the mood for local cuisine or want to go “ downtown “.) The host was very nice and communicative via vrbo text

Descriptions, pictures, and recent reviews sum it all up pretty well. We loved the location for easy drives ro Saguaro NP east, or to Mt Lemmon, or anything in east Tucson. Strongly suggest you arrive in daylight, as the entrance is not well lit. And once you get inside the front door, you'll realize the interior of this place has the newest remodel work on the whole property.

David is a great host with attention as needed. The guest house has a really nice set of kitchen utensils and items for cooking or baking. Well suppplied. We chose the location to be close to hiking and we spent our time in Sabino Canyon, Agua Caliente Park, Tucson Botanical Gardens and some nice restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch guest house. The inside is very comfortable and welcoming. We loved how the surrounding area was so quiet. The bed was comfortable and bathroom and kitchen clean and stocked with everything we needed. Good communication from the host. We will definitely recommend to others and we would rebook when we travel to Tucson again.

Loved the welcome message on the chalkboard next to the front door; such a nice touch. The ranch house was so quiet and felt so secluded. It was perfect for what we needed; only 1.5 miles from my family’s home where we were celebrating Christmas.

This was our second time staying here. It is a nice space for two people in a very convenient location since it is close to a grocery store and most of the hiking we did. Hosts are very responsive and responded to our questions immediately.It also has everything you might need in the kitchen and a nice outdoor (fenced in) space to relax after hiking.I would stay here again.

The host was very nice with messaging back & forth. The property itself could use some work. Floor wasnt very clean. Found dirty dishes in the drawers, oven was disgustingly dirty, house keeping should be taking care of things that need to be replaced or fixed.The door into the bathroom & the door into the bedroom wont close completely. Light is out in the closet in bedroom. Yard was a mess, grass so tall our dog didnt want to go into it. No extra blankets or even a throw blanket. No extra towels so if you want to put your hair up after washing it like most women do, you dont have the extra towels.Bedroom door going outside into the yard has 2 locks but only 1 works because the deadbolt isnt even completed...it has no hole in the frame area for the bolt to go into, how does something like that get missed???? I have never stayed at a place that you had to strip your own bed, take out trash, do all the dishes before you leave. What is the house keeper doing??Pictures on the site do not tell the truth on this one.And if you have any problems with steps you should know there are some very odd steps going into the bathroom that looks like it was a add on. Very dangerous placing of the steps which I almost fell into the step well in the bathroom because there isnt alot of room in between the sink is & the first step down.

The property was exceedingly clean and well stocked. The bed was super comfy. The view of the sunrise coming up over the desert mountains was beautiful. There was also a perfect little closed in yard with grass that made the desert safe for our dog. Location was wonderful for us, we very much enjoyed our stay.

We were charmed from the minute we saw the "Welcome Carol" on the chalkboard outside. The place is thoughtfully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked and has beautiful appliances. There are so many touches to make you feel at home. Games, books, toys (for all ages!) as well as small things, like Q-tips and hair ties in the bathroom. We brought our own coffee, but there was coffee available (by the cup or the pot) and a couple of cokes and condiments in the refrigerator. Although it was 105 outside, it stayed perfectly cool inside. (We actually had to make it less cool!) We were traveling with our small dog and having a small fenced-in grass yard made our choice of where to stay so easy. We didn't have to put harness and leash on and walk every time she wanted out, just open the back door and walk out with her. The quiet and privacy are heavenly and we were only one mile from the bottom of Mt. Lemmon so getting up to the coolness to hike was just a drive up the mountain. We definitely recommend this place and hope to be back!

Perfect to visit Mount Lemmon and Saguaro NP

Apartment seemed to be one of three very well converted outbuildings on an old farm. Everything one could need, very beautifully appointed and thoughtfully supplied.

Great getaway!

This place really fit the bill for what we were looking for. Very quiet, clean, and convenient to the eastern part of Saguaro NP and Mt. Lemmon. David was very communicative, and it was a pleasure to hear about his plans for installing a water-conserving orchard onsite. Will definitely keep this place on our list for a future return trip.

David and Alex were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our time here. A layout note - the only restroom is en suite to the bedroom. Probably fine for most but we stayed with our 20-month old son and the room was plenty large enough for the pack and play but we did have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom and shower which was a little stressful once our little one was asleep for the night. The amenities were excellent and the location is convenient for a short drive to Sabino Canyon and the east side of Saguaro NP. We would stay here again!

Great spot to relax in nature

I needed a place of refuge for my dog while the movers created chaos in my home. My pet sitter stayed here 6 hours while this happened and it was perfect for our needs. Then after the move the setting of this guest house is so relaxing.. it was just what I needed. It's a lovely unit l and David was very careful to make sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommended.

Perfect Private Retreat

This is a perfect little retreat casita at the base of Mt. Lemmon. The casita itself is extremely clean and a perfect size for singles, couples or a family traveling with one or two children. Both the kitchen and bathroom are thoughtfully appointed with plenty of amenities, and the couch with two built-in recliners is perfect for stretching out after a long day. As other reviewers have stated, you are close to a supermarket and restaurants/bars, yet it doesn't feel that way. Downtown Tucson is a short drive. The owners are super-responsive and friendly. I have family in the area and I will absolutely stay here again. I was sorry I only had two nights - I would have stayed longer!
