Very poor standard and below par service.

Front desk man was trying to do about 5 things at the same time and although I'm sure he thought he'd got good customer care / patter, I found it annoying and dis-courteous that he was flitting between people and paperwork while dealing with me. Not professional customer service in my very well travelled opinion. Wasn't helpful when I asked about our location in relation to restaurants etc... Just shoved a photocopy of a map at me and walked off. I had to call him back and ask where we were and for directions, to which I got a half answer. The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable, as was the pillow. I had hardly any sleep the first night. To be fair, when I complained, they did change me room, but it was exactly the same and I didn't sleep night two either. The view from both rooms resembled a war torn city... a real mess. Breakfast was quite poor too and the general feeling of the hotel was not comfortable. I can't see where the good reviews of this hotel have come from, and I certainly will not return.

A modern, clean and comfortable hotel.

This modern hotel is situated five stops from the centre on the bus number 11 which stops two minutes away. The rooms are very modern and spotlessly clean.On checking in, you are given a remote control for the tv box but the set up is temperamental and I had to seek assistance from staff to get it to work.The showeroom has a fierce and hard to regulate shower. Bizarrely, there is a clear glass window, covered by a vertical blind between the showeroom and the bedroom. The WiFi is very fast. There is a small bar from which items may be purchased by contacting reception. A cold buffet breakfast is available. Although the range is not huge, it is adequate. All staff were very polite and helpful. The major drawback is the unsalubrious area around the hotel. Local winos and youths congregate on a bridge opposite the hotel and sometimes their ravings go on into the night.

Clean hotel in dodgy area of Turin

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is clean and fine for the price you pay, however it is out of the centre of Turin, in a questionable area. My husband and I would not recommend walking around the hotel after dark, as just across the road there is a bridge where some shady characters seem to loiter and also each and every morning we would wake to find broken beer bottles along the front of the hotel. Additionally, I cannot say that the breakfast which was included, would sustain anyone. There was very little food, options were limited and we ended up buying breakfast at a cafe in the centre. Probably wouldn't book this hotel again, nor recommend it.

The Alexandra Hotel in Turin

Half decent budget hotel in expensive Turin. A 10-15 minute walk into the city centre Breakfast not brilliant but you cannot complain because of the price Hotel room was clean and comfortable A little noise from outside during the night Overall good value for the money I paid

Maybe out of the way a bit..

Easy on street parking, All you need if in transit, and quiet location. = a bit of a walk for a restaurant! But only 5--10 minutes. over the brook up Corsa Giulio Cesare, across the big sqare and there is great choice. Bank on the corner, so arriving with no cash was not a problem.

Very friendly & most helpful staff. Hotel 15min walk to shopping & attractions.Parking in hotel under ground. High standard room with all facilities. Buffet breakfast excellent. Highly recommended.

Nice room, rough neighborhood

The hotel is very clean & quite. The people were pretty helpful. The rooms are small (like many Euro hotels). Pretty close to the in-city train. The neighborhood is not good. A very uncomfortable area to walk in after dark, very few restaurants in the area & no bars that most people would want to stop at. About a 15 minute walk to the town center, no cabs around. The room came with a very nice breakfast.

Not impressed

While this hotel was clean and recently updated on the inside, with a couple of multilingual staff members, it was not the "nice" hotel we'd hoped for. It's in a bit of a run-down area with a shabby exterior. The description of a nice view was deceiving. If I had to go back to Turin I'd maybe stay there again, but I wouldn't purposely go out of my way again to go to this hotel.

LOCATED ON THE RIVER PO BUT MUST RIDE BUS OR TAXI TO GET TO CITY CENTER

THIS HOTEL WAS A GREAT SURPRISE - FOR THE MONEY IT WAS OUTSTANDING - THE FEATURES IN THE ROOM WAS EXCEPTIONAL - IF YOU WANT TO BE NEAR THE CITY CENTER THIS MAY NOT BE THE HOTEL FOR YOU HOWEVER IT IS A SHORT BUS OR TAXI RIDE TO CITY CENTER. IT IS RIGHT ON THE RIVER PO WAS IS A GREAT VIEW. THE INCLUDED BREAKFAST WAS TERRIFIC WITH A GREAT STAFF. WE WOULD CERTAINLY OG BACK TO THIS HOTEL.

Hotel is in a dodgy area with

Hotel is in a dodgy area with a lot of drug addicts on the river bank opposite, however the tram and bus stops are only 2 mins from the front door. It is over 1km from Dora Station so don't try walking for the airport train if you have luggage. The air con was not operating in mid April and I found the room very warm esp in the mornings. You get what you pay for.

Posizione strategica

Ho scelto questo Hotel perché molto alla sede in cui mi dovevo recare per lavoro. La struttura è situata in un quartiere un po' degradato, ma le cose cambiano appena attraversato il fiume. In zona è sempre disponibile parcheggio libero (fatto rarissimo a Torino) infatti ho posteggiato a pochissimi metri dall'hotel. Le camere sono molto ordinate, pulite e calde. Nella mia camera singola il bagno era molto grande e pulito. La camera era al sesto piano quindi molto silenziosa, perché non si sentiva il traffico sottostante, e molto panoramica. Per una singola il prezzo è molto interessante. Tornerò sicuramente

Good value for money

The Hotel and the rooms are in good condition and the breakfast is Ok. The coffee is not good, but the rest is fine. A tram/bus stop is nearby and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it's good value for money.

Grazioso hotel nella periferia nord di Torino

Hotel Alexandra Lungo Dora Napoli Torino: tutto eccellente, purtroppo durante la notte, nelle strade adiacenti all'hotel, si verificano schiamazzi a non finire fino alle 4 del mattino circa che sono creati da extracomunitari ubriachi e mi fermo qui..... Non credo che sia sicuro passeggiare nelle strade adiacenti durante la notte.
