Two days on teh Goldie

This is a great property, in an excellent location. The buffet breakfast is the best anglo, hotel-provided, breakfast I've had in a long time. For some reason on the seond morning the food was only luke warm - and we were down fairly early. First day though was primo. Great new wide screen TV - but couldn't find a program guide on the TV. It calls it a 'guide' but its only a channel list. Although a smart tv I couldn't find apps so that I could log in to my own programming - but that could have been my own incompetence with an unfamiliar device. We'll be back, no doubt.

Excellent. Great pool that was completely quiet the whole stay, excellent buffet breakfast and an easy walk to beach, buses or short taxi ride to most things if preferred. Only niggles were no full length mirror and barely enough shampoo and soap for one person let alone two. Note there is nowhere to get food in immediate vicinity except hotel restaurant (overpriced as with all hotel restaurants) or across the street at airport for very limited costly crisps and chocolate bars. One bar/restaurant with Tacos and pizza and a rubbish cafe at airport . But you can Uber Eats easy enough.

Great location for early morning flights and the ability to walk to the beach. But the bar and restaurant service was terrible. Especially the main bar. Young slow bartenders who had no idea what they were doing and were very rude and overwhelmed.

Room was well thought out with pleasing colours, very clean. Hardly any wait for a lift. Breakfast was included and presented well. I thought it could have had some dried fruit and maybe nuts, not major problem though. The only thing that would have improved our stay was to be on a higher floor so we could see the coastline b it was value for money.

The trees around the pool had all been removed leaving it completely open. The reception, restaurant etc all look out on the pool so some plants etc would make it more comfortable! The pool was murky and cold which may have been due to the recent heavy rain. I thought being by the airport there would be better public transport however this wasn’t the case and we needed to get Uber’s wherever we went. Food options are limited and the roof top bar/restaurant is closed so nothing to do of an evening. No staff seemed happy except for the lovely female chef making the omelettes of a morning who was always so friendly. We picked this hotel for the pool so left feeling disappointed but maybe my expectations were a little high considering it’s an airport hotel.

Excellent stay, was here for 2nights for business. Really quiet clean room with very comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast wS great. The planting and decorating made it feel like I was on a tropical island. Absolutely no disturbance from being at the airport. Literally 1min from the international arrival hall. Will stay again,
