The Space:

Reimagined as a modern desert cabin with midcentury roots, La Luna Azul blends clean contemporary lines with the rugged beauty of Joshua Tree. Expansive windows frame sweeping views of boulders and native desert flora, filling the home with natural light throughout the day and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. Polished concrete floors, warm wood accents, and thoughtful design details establish a calming yet refined atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. The open-concept living and dining areas are designed for effortless flow, while the two-bedroom layout offers comfort and privacy. Every space is intentionally curated to encourage relaxation, reflection, and reconnection—whether you’re unwinding after a day in the park, enjoying quiet meals with a view, or simply soaking in the stillness of the desert.

Set on 2.5 acres of open desert bordering the national park, the outdoor spaces at La Luna Azul are designed to embrace the surrounding landscape. A hot tub is tucked directly into the boulders with a small deck, creating a serene setting for sunset soaks and stargazing beneath expansive night skies. A fire pit sitting area and an additional outdoor seating area with a coffee table, are both perfect for morning coffee at sunrise or evening conversations under the stars. Bocce ball is provided, for fun, easy competition. The property offers uninterrupted views, nearby trails to explore, iconic rock formations, and a front-row seat to dramatic sunsets, glowing sunrises, and brilliantly clear desert nights.



-Living Area-

The main living area feels intimate yet airy, with vaulted ceilings and large windows that draw the desert landscape inside. Open to the dining room, this space is ideal for cozy evenings after exploring Joshua Tree or slow mornings with coffee and soft light. A smart TV and thoughtfully chosen furnishings balance comfort and style. Throw a record on the record player to help set the mood, or use its Bluetooth function to play your own tunes. A second living area just off the kitchen features wood-beam ceilings and seating arranged around a wood-burning fireplace, creating a warm, inviting nook that’s perfect for watching the flames dance with a glass of wine or lingering over a quiet morning ritual.

The rustic yet welcoming kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for home cooking and relaxed gatherings. Original wood cabinetry is paired with new stainless steel appliances, offering a blend of character and modern convenience. The kitchen flows naturally into the fireplace nook and onward to the dining area, creating an easy, connected layout that supports both shared meals and intimate moments. A gas BBQ is available for grilling and enjoying the desert air.



-Bedrooms & Bathroom-

La Luna Azul features two bedrooms designed as private retreats. The both bedroom offers comfortable king-sized beds. Both rooms are calm, airy, and thoughtfully appointed, with windows that bring in natural light and desert views. The home includes one bathroom with a shower, perfect for resetting after a day of exploring.



-Surrounding Area-

Located in the Panoramic Heights area of Joshua Tree, the home is surrounded by dramatic boulder formations and expansive desert and mountain views. Guests can easily head out for coffee, breakfast, or an evening cocktail at nearby favorites like Mas o Menos, or explore the creative, laid-back vibe of downtown Joshua Tree. The area is known for its artistic spirit, local boutiques, cafés, and access to outdoor adventure. Joshua Tree National Park is just a short drive away, offering world-class hiking, climbing, and unforgettable scenery, while the surrounding desert invites exploration, wellness experiences, and deep connection with nature.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there are a few supply closets that are locked that house supplies for the rental.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area – rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Other Things to Note:

-Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub is serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Dogs-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.



-Firewood for Indoor Fireplace-

We do not provide firewood for the indoor fireplace, if you'd like to enjoy the fireplace, we recommend picking up bundles of firewood at a local grocery store.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.
