Discover a rare gem in Bali – a cozy, charming, freshly renovated apartment with spacious kitchen and bathtub. Nestled within a family compound, this inviting space seamlessly combines Western standards, privacy, and comfort with an authentic Balinese lifestyle.

Situated in Penestanan, a trendy locale adorned with cafes and hidden gems, it has become a favorite among long-term visitors due to its convenient access to central Ubud without the hassle of traffic.

The 2-story building is nestled within a traditional family compound in Ubud. It's a captivating scene on ceremonial days to watch the family engage in prayer, offer tributes, and adorn their temple, offering guests a genuine glimpse into Bali's culture. The family also owns a small restaurant, 'Warung Makan Ibu Nyoman,' in the front, catering to locals.

The apartment is at the back, far away from the busy road, on the bottom floor of the 2-story building, with its own lockable separate entrance. Newly fully renovated, it comes with all the amenities you require. The AC is new and will be serviced quarterly. You can access all you see in the pictures, of course. There is a small garden right in front of the building, where you can also park your motorcycle and some roosters in the back.

Our cleaning lady, Ibu Wayan, will come twice per week to clean and change the bedsheets and towels. If you have laundry, please let her know that you want it cleaned for 15,000 IDR per kg. She will bring it back next time or, at the latest, after a week. If you need faster laundry service, there are several laundry shops in the same street.

You can check in without hassle, as the keys are in lockboxes just outside the door. We will let you know the code just before you arrive. This is also where you place the key when you check out. If you need anything else, just send us a quick message.

Roosters are a common feature in Bali, contributing to its unique charm. For a bit more quietness and mosquito-free evenings, we enclosed the living room and kitchen area.

Smoke-Free Policy
As we have smoke detectors and want to keep the apartment free of unpleasant smells, please do not smoke anywhere in the apartment.

Pets
While Yoga (our neighbor) and his wife have adorable pets - Molly (a fluffy dog) and two cats (Ciro and Ucik) – we ask that you, please do not let them into the apartment, even when they look at you with their super cute eyes. This helps us keep the space clean and allergen-free for all guests.

Penestanan is the place where Bali long-term residents live. Many bars, restaurants, yoga places, spas, and nature activities are nearby. The best part is, you do not have to hassle with traffic as everything is nearby. However, if you still want to go to the center of Ubud, it's just a few minutes away.

The best way to get around is either to rent a motorcycle (800,000 IDR per month) or to use the apps GoJek and Grab to hire transportation. Bali is not really a place that is walkable. One exception is the area around our apartment; once you leave the main road of Jl. Penestanan and explore the small side arms.
During your stay at this apartment building, you're just a quick walk from The Blanco Renaissance Museum. You'll find features like a hot tub. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the apartment.
