Uma Galih Villa is Ultra-Great!

Uma Galih Ubud Villa is wonderful. The property itself seems so private, with a personal entrance gate, walled-in villa (with amazing high ceilings that become musical during evening showers rain on the roof), and a lovely swimming pool. Owner/Manager Mr WIsnu and his team are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Reasonably priced breakfasts (ordered a day in advance), both western or Balinese, were delicious. I especially appreciated the availability of ride services throughout the island of Bali, also priced quite reasonably. One note: the most accurate location online for Uma Galih Ubid Villa is available on Google Maps

Great Villa Worth a Return Visit

I've greatly enjoyed my stay at the Uma Galih Villa on the outskirts of Ubud. The villa includes a lovely swimming pool and garden, with a terrace outside the main room, where delicious, reasonably priced breakfasts are served. The kitchenette to the side of the terrace is very functional and includes a full sized refrigerator/freezer. The bathroom includes a stand alone shower and a deep, full sized bath tub. I guess what I love best about the villa is its vast, tall ceiling -- perfect for listening to rain on the roof in the evenings! The villa's support team are all efficient and hospitable, and are willing to assist you in arranging rides to various parts of the island. One point that potential guests should note (and that hotels.com should correct). The location of Uma Galih Villa is incorrectly identified on the hotels.com website map; however GoogleMaps does display its correct location.
