This apartment is in a great location. It is very close to the central market and various eateries within a few minute walk. It was very clean throughout. It had key codes for the entry into the building and room and the building was very quiet. Very good place for the money. It would have been nice to have some dish towels and a small bottle of dish soap for washing dishes. Also, there wasn't a good way to dry clothes and a drying rack would have been nice. We had six staying in this apartment and barely had enough hot water for two people at any time so we had to spread out shower. Lastly, there was a bad sewer odor in the downstairs bathroom so we kept the door closed at all times. I never had a chance to bring any of these concerns to the property managers attention as we were too busy seeing the city.

Everything started very well! We loved the place very much. Receptionist was friendly, the location was excellent, the apartment was clean. We booked for two nights and made plans for it. We had an unexpected, unpleasant surprise when we went home to drop off things the second night. The access code was changed! It took a long time for them to get back to us. Our second night was ruined. We were not able to have dinner as planned, had to forego shopping, and worried like hell that we will be homeless in a foreign land, with all our things in our room. It was worrisome and definitely ruined plans. By the time it was settled, shops we wanted to see were closed. We had to eat whatever we had left at the hotel instead of eating out. We missed doing the things we had planned. I didn’t want to be angry as I know it will not help, and mistakes happen, but I was very disappointed. It became a stressful evening instead of a relaxing one. No one was available to tell us the new access code. I should say though that Roshelle from Hotels.com stayed with me until it was resolved. I appreciated that. Will I go back here? I don’t know. I have not heard an apology from the company and was told expedia changed the access code. Not sure what happened there. Glad my kids are older and they went with the flow. They were helping me brainstorm what next steps we can take as there was no assurance that we will be able stay there for the night.

I liked the place but the only complaint I had was the horrible sewer smell. I complained to the lady at the front desk who explained that when it rains in Valencia, they get that smell. Other than that, everything was great!
