Ski chalet Cervinia Martino e Bassi is located in the highest and most beautiful ski area of Italy, Breuil Cervinia at the foot of the Matterhorn "Il Cervino". Apartment Martino is a spacious (101 m2) sunny apartment with two large balconies in the center of Breuil Cervina on the slopes. 8 people. Parking garage for 1 car, cellar space and ski box. Very well equipped. Hall, kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms + semi open room with bunk beds, wifi, stereo, bluetooth box, TV, Nespresso, 2x bathroom with toilet, bidet bath or shower. Two sunny balconies. View Matterhorn. ski box, garage, parking space. Ping pong table, billiards. 3 washing machines in common room. Children's slope in front of the door.

The apartment consists of a hall, a large living room, wifi, stereo, blue tooth box and TV, kitchen, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, oven, microwave. Bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath, shower. Narrow staircase down. Downstairs, two rooms with a double bed (1x double 1 x 2 single beds), a room with open passage with bunk beds and a bunk bed in semi open room, bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bidet and shower. Two balconies to the south and south west, a ski box for the storage of sports equipment, a basement room and a garage with parking for 1 car. Common room with ping pong table and billiards and washing machines. Games, toys, high chair and cot available.

WINTER:
Piste 5 next to the door. 350km of ski runs. Children's piste and baby lift in front of the door. Large winter playground for children at the door. Start Cretaz lift 100m. Matterhorn (Cervino). Longest department in Europe (22km) from 3883 to 1540m. The winter ski area open from November 1 to May 5. Last weekends of October also opened. Extensive cross-country skiing area.

SUMMER: In the summer extensive hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboard camp, golf, 18 holes golf course within walking distance, paragliding. Summer ski possible. Lifts open every day in July and August from 7.30 to 13.30/14. 30.

The apartment accommodated all of us on the trip but we would have struggled if we hadn’t lost two people (1 adult, 1 child). We felt that the listing description we viewed at the time of booking was inaccurate. It was not clear to us that one set of bunks would be in a corridor with no ability to close it off to the public area above or that there were no windows direct to the outside in any of the bedrooms. As someone who can feel extremely claustrophobic the full blackness and lack of air was very stressful. We had two children with us and in the bunk room with a door (but no glass over the door so it still remained open) there were exposed copper wires which we covered with some construction tape we found in a bag of tools on the balcony. The kitchen wasn’t that well equipped - the knives were blunt, there was no roasting tray so the oven was impossible to use. Probably a good thing as there was also no oven gloves or tea towel. We also arrived relatively late in the day and there was only half a roll of loo roll left. We were three females (due to be five) - I consider this unacceptable. The flat is extremely close to the slopes so the location was excellent and the views from the terrace lovely.

We were a family group of 7 adults, incl three couples and the property was perfect for us. We cooked in several nights and appreciated a well equipped kitchen and induction hob. There was plenty of living space to enjoy board games and the property was v close to local restaurants, bars, shops and most importantly a v short walk to the ski slopes. The apartment was warm, had excellent wifi and the bathrooms clean and functional. The host was responsive and helpful. We would like to come again

Lovely accommodation

It was very well located, clean, well equipped, warm and quiet. Lovely sunny open plan living space. The spiral staircase is steep and narrow - worth noting (but not an issue for us). Martijn was incredibly helpful and responsive. We arrived (as planned) at 4pm and our accommodation wasn’t ready which was frustrating after a very early start/long journey. A big bunch of unmarked keys took a bit of getting used to. we would highly recommend the property.

Great location, everyone was happy!

Wake up, get skis from the locker room, put on boots sitting on entrance bench, walk 30m across the carpark over the bridge and climb a tiny slope to the the top of the carpet, what a way to start the ski day! The chalet was comfortable and adequate for the 8 of us, we did a bit of cooking in the kitchen which always takes a while to get used to, but everything was in working order, my main gripe is the electric hob that took forever to get hot. We parked our car in the garage space in the communal underground carpark. Once we found the games rooms we played on one of the 2 full size table tennis tables. Our whole group had a fantastic week in Cervinia and I could highly recommend this chalet.

Great location!

The apartment is well located, a short walk from the Cretaz chairlift and the main street of shops and restaurants. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children (aged 8 to 11), and I would say it was cosy but perfectly adequate. I don't think I'd recommend it for 2 families with older children, but for us it worked well. Parking was easy, with one space in the garage and lots of free parking outside. Whilst the communal areas of the apartment block are dated, the apartment itself was exactly as seen in the photos, was clean on arrival, and generally well equipped. Some of the kitchen utensils could do with replacement (broken handle on the cheese parer, bottle opener) but everything we needed was there. One thing to note - if you plan to cook for yourselves rather than eat out, I would recommend stocking up in one of the big supermarkets in Aosta. The small supermarket in resort is fairly limited, and can be extremely busy. In summary, the apartment suited our needs perfectly. It's not luxurious, but it's clean and functional. Martijn was communicative and helpful, and a pleasure to deal with.

Super location next to the ski slopes!

A small apartment next to the ski slopes and shops/restaurants. Modest interior, a bit small for two families but good for one. Stairs are steep but was not a problem for us. The personnel at La Tour very kind, helpful and responsive. Had a very nice stay!

Absolutely excellent,my whole family, eight of us ranging from 64 years to 18 months, have had an amazing week. The apartment is exactly as described and superbly equipped for all our needs. It is warm, very cosy ,comfortable and extremely clean. We will definitely like to go there again.

Perfect apartment for 2 families with 4 kids all sharing.

We were 2 families both with 2 young kids and the apartment suited us perfectly. We visited the resort in 2018 so knew the location of this apartment being very close to the Cretaz lifts hence why it was our first choice. Our 2 families have now completed 4 ski holidays together and we've stayed in bigger and smaller apartments together but this one was the nicest and best suited. Lifts are perhaps 200m or so walk in the morning. If you are an able skier there's also the possibility of skiing back to reduce the walk to less than 100m! A great stay at a great resort that is particularly suited to young family skiers. The owner is extremely helpful and the local agency told me that he is there nicest client. Thank you!

Very good location and flexible accommodation

Excellent communication with the owner to answer any queries before and during our stay, and also with the local agent. The location is great (ski-in to the adjacent car park) and the accommodation was very comfortable. Other reviewers have commented on the unusual steep spiral staircase - but if you are fit enough to ski, you should not have any difficulty! Thanks!

Really convenient location, nice apartment, nice resort, great skiing

This apartment is exactly as described - great location, great service, good value, wonderful resort and we had good weather so the skiing was great. One thing which should be said about the apartment is the connection between upstairs and downstairs is via a fairly tight spiral staircase and if you've any mobility issues at all, or you are of a large frame, i.e. carrying more than just a bit of weight, then this will be a challenge. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable letting young children use it either ... it is very steep (like many Dutch staircases) and very narrow. Otherwise the apartment is very good, and has a great view of the Matterhorn.

Vakantieweek met familie

Wij verbleven met 6 volwassenen in het appartement wat vlakbij de piste ligt. Het was ruim genoeg voor ons met een keuken met alle apparatuur en 2 badkamers. De bedden waren vrij hard en de stapelbedden niet comfortabel, maar voor een week te doen. Linnengoed voor de keuken ontbrak, dus zelf iets extra’s meenemen is handig. Het inchecken verliep chaotisch, we waren rond 15 uur al daar, het appartement was nog niet klaar en de sleutels pasten niet. Een paar keer heen en weer lopen tussen het agentschap en appartement. Dat was jammer. Het inrijden van het dorp was onduidelijk met stoplichten die op rood blijven staan. Toen we een maal geïnstalleerd waren hebben we een prima week gehad. De communicatie met Martijn verliep heel goed.

Rilassante settimana estiva

Casa di dimensioni idonee a due nuclei familiari. Spazi non eccessivi ma ben organizzati. L'appartamento è provvisto di due camere con letto matrimoniale di cui una con letto aggiuntivo. Poi ci sono due letti a castello in camere semi-aperte. Centralissimo e comodo per escursioni e passeggiate in centro paese.
