We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Sands. The biggest highlight is the amazing location — it's perfect for accessing everything: the beach, activities, dining, and scenic walks. We rented bikes from the shop right in front of the hotel and rode through Stanley Park, which was an incredible experience. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and we didn’t even need to take the car out of the parking lot! We walked to Granville Island, Downtown Vancouver, Gastown, and many other nearby attractions. The area around the hotel is lively and vibrant. One of our favorite moments was watching the beautiful sunset while sipping wine from our room — truly memorable. The only minor downside was that the room felt a bit small, but everything else made up for it. We would definitely recommend this place for a convenient and enjoyable Vancouver stay!

Excellent location for Stanley Park and Sunset Beach, and walkable to downtown. However - hotel looks dingy, all grey. Servicing of the room and bathroom was hit and miss, clean towels but beds not touched. We returned one afternoon at 4.00, nothing done. Breakfast at the adjacent bar took exactly one hour to arrive. We appreciated a fridge but there was NO SAFE, not even at the front desk. So it was ok, but very basic.

The location of this hotel is perfect for Vancouver. Walking distance to Stanley Park. Great options for food. Near the beach. Beds and bedding super comfortable. We had a late flight home and they stored our luggage for several hours. Overall this hotel was great. It’s just dated. Could definitely use a facelift.
