We stayed at the Burnaby Holiday Inn Express and were impressed with our quiet and functional room. The proximity to the Sky Train was a real plus for us. The free self-serve breakfast was generous and the service attentive. We used the outdoor pool daily even with daily January temps of 0-3C! Nice! The hotel is within a larger building complex and, unfortunately during our 9-day stay, we experienced two false fire alarms that were activated not in the hotel but nonetheless forced us to vacate our room. The front desk and housekeeping staff were warm and friendly. In particular, managers Scott and Brandon were prompt and thorough in following up on our concerns regarding the false fire alarms. The hotel is a good option for visitors to Burnaby.
