For the moderate price it was OK plus. A fine place for an in-transit overnight. We didn’t do much except eat and drink at the on-site brew pub which is highly rated and was good. We liked their very genuine and Canadian Poutine. We slept quite well in spite of noise from bar and busy street traffic. There’s a wide variety of Asian restaurants in the area. WiFi is fine. Cleanliness is fine. The staff is nice and helpful.

Need renovated historichotel in downtown Vancouver

Hotel Waldorf was nice hotel little load lots of charm to it. Major issue we had was there is no elevator so we had to haul all luggage up to the second floor room room condition was good for an older hotel had old amenities we needed. There’s a restaurant/nightclub blow which was loud late at night, but not too bad front desk. Staff was very helpful. We ate lunch in the restaurant and that was good. The hotels located right on the main bus line so we took the bus from the train stop over there to the hotel.

Unfortunately the power was out, so we did not have internet/air conditioning for one day of the trip. Otherwise it was alright. Had to ask multiple times for an extra towel (3 ppl in a room, only got 2…). Hotel staff were very friendly, however.

In fairness to the hotel, they did send a message after I had already booked and paid for the property warning that there was a bar/nightclub directly below. Unfortunately, I did not check my Expedia messages until after my stay. It was the least expensive hotel I could find in Vancouver that offered parking. But, it is definitely located in a sketchy area and I did not feel safe walking around and I worried about my car all night because the parking lot is not secured. The staff were outstanding as were the servers in the bar/restaurant/nightclub. However, I was up all night with the loud music and thumping from the restaurant nightclub below, and when that finally ended, my room was right on the street and I got to listen to drag racer exhaust cars going up and down all night long. The room itself was great, but the overall experience was not. It would’ve been worth paying twice the amount of money for the next cheapest hotel in Vancouver.

Staff were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The location, despite not being in the best area, was perfect. Convenient to get to things nearby. The amenities attached to the hotel were also a nice touch. Although our room was tiny, we agreed we would stay again!

Our stay was fine, the bed was clean and the room was good enough, but for the price we paid I would’ve expected a little more from the hotel. My poor boyfriend had to carry my heavy suitcase up then down two flights of stairs to get to our room as there was no elevator. I was a bit scared to walk to and from our car and the hotel depending on who was outside at any given time, but I did appreciate that the front door required a key fob for entry, so there was no street access to the building. I slept through it but my partner said that there was loud music and bass, police sirens, and people screaming outside late into the night. The bathroom was okay too, but there was visible mildew on a lot of the grout in the shower that made me want to keep my flip flops on. We received a little heads up in the welcome message from the hotel about the people a few blocks down experiencing homelessness, which was also appreciated. We don’t have any children with us, but if we did I think that travel between the hotel and downtown (even in a car) would’ve been more stressful as there are many people out and about and many things happening on the sidewalk. If necessary, I would stay here again, but I’d know what level of safety and cleanliness to expect. For the most part, the more negative aspects of the experience were outside of the control of the hotel. Except for the fact that they had closed the hotel parking lot and we had to park a decent walk away from the hotel.

We liked the location of the hotel - not too far from transit and wasn’t in the heart of the homeless population of East Hastings. Room was quiet, and comfortable. Only thing to note is, the lack of mat in the shower could be a huge hazard; two out of four people in the group fell in the shower and another almost fell. Just be mindful about slipping. Other than that amazing for a one night stay.

The hotel was very old and in a shady part of town. Asked to see the room first. It was clean but very small with old furnishings. We decided to stay since it was only one night and we were tired from a full day of travel. I didn’t read the reviews before I booked. If I had I would not have picked this hotel. Recommend staying elsewhere.

We had a reservation for two nights and left after one, despite not being able to get a refund. The staff were friendly and helpful but that was the only positive about this establishment, unfortunately. Our room was cramped and stuffy, the bed uncomfortable, air conditioning was very noisy, the window was not secure and the bathroom door was difficult to open/close. The photos on the booking websites do not reflect the actual conditions. Despite assurances we did not feel safe or comfortable in the neighbourhood.

Older vintage hotel. Staff was amazing in response and friendly. The immediate area around the hotel was quiet and safe. However, don't stray too far. Only a few blocks away a lot of homelessness.

Great stay - very friendly and supportive staff. Neighborhood around hotel is not ideal (especially for families with young kids). No elevator on premises. Weekends might be a different story with the loud music.
