This was the perfect hotel to stay at for a weekend getaway. Easy walking access to the seawall and Stanley Park, or in to downtown - lots of food and coffee nearby. The room was great, very comfy beds, the staff were excellent and you cannot beat the views from the restaurant.

Very nice

Good location. Friendly staff. Old building but everything in the room was in good condition. Room cleaned everyday. Will be perfect if offering complimentary coffee in the lobby. Parking underground is easy possibly due to winter off seasons, with reasonable price for the downtown location.

A lovely character hotel. Friendly, efficient staff. Well appointed, comfortable rooms. Good dining room, but close to many dining options as well. Great location across from the beach and plenty of walking paths as well.

Beautiful location across from the water. Our room was huge, had a very comfortable king size bed, large walk in closet and another small room with single bed. It’s an older building with no sound proofing so we could hear the people next door singing and chatting late into the night. Asked for extra coffee and Kleenex from maid but never received either. Might stay again because of location and comfortable bed.

The Sylvia is like stepping into another time. We travel for business and I love being able to disconnect from the busy days out of the downtown area. The area is peaceful and feels safe to walk around in.
