stayed two nights this weekend at Versante Hotel in Vancouver, BC. My check-in experience was very poor. I was asked for ID and a credit card for the deposit, which is normal, but the front desk agent insisted I enter a PIN for my credit card. I do not have a PIN set up for my credit card, and he told me he could not check me in unless I used a different card. I was forced to use my debit card instead. When I asked about this again the next day, the same employee and his associate were rude and unhelpful. I have never experienced this at any other hotel. Because of the poor service and unprofessional behavior, I will never stay at this hotel again.
