Lake-view villa (Varenna Wonders)

Immersed in the timeless charm of Varenna, the elegant VARENNA WONDERS villa offers an authentic and memorable stay, where the character of historic homes meets contemporary comfort. Inside, the living area is filled with natural light from large windows framing the panorama: classic-style furnishings, vintage details, and a wooden ceiling create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by soft lighting and touches of old-world charm. There are two comfortable sofas perfect for relaxing, one of which is a sofa bed (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared for your arrival, as we believe it is best for you to use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. You will find sheets, pillows, and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.). The fully equipped eat-in kitchen opens onto a panoramic terrace, ideal for lake-view breakfasts or sunset aperitifs. A bathroom featuring vibrant green ceramic tiles and equipped with a shower completes this floor.

Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms: one double room, one quadruple room with a double bed and a bunk bed, and one single room, all with large windows and spacious wardrobes to best organize your stay. A second bathroom, also with a shower, serves the sleeping area.

Outside, the private garden is the perfect place to spend sunny afternoons, read a book in the shade, or simply enjoy the surrounding peace, embraced by the scent of nature. In addition, a large covered porch invites you to relax while admiring the blue waters of the lake and the outline of the Bellagio peninsula. The property also includes two private parking spaces located directly in front of the entrance.

Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided.

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

The villa stands in Fiumelatte, a charming hamlet of Varenna just five minutes by car from the village center. Widely regarded as one of Lake Como’s jewels, Varenna enchants visitors with its romantic lakeside promenade, cobblestone lanes, and the historic gardens of Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi—must-sees for lovers of history and nature. The location is perfect for exploring the lake: in minutes you can reach the ferry terminal with boats to Bellagio, the “Pearl of the Lake,” and to the western shore with Lenno, Tremezzo, and Menaggio, famous for historic villas and breathtaking views. Within a short drive are Lierna, with its pebble beach, and Bellano, renowned for the spectacular Orrido gorge carved into the rock. Hiking enthusiasts will love the scenic Sentiero del Viandante, a lakeside trail offering unique vistas and connecting villages, chapels, and natural terraces.

How to get there:

By car, coming from the south on the SS36, take the exit for Varenna/Lierna/Mandello/Abbadia L./Lago and continue on the SP72; the villa is reached in about 15 minutes. From the north, take the Bellano/Valsassina exit and drive past the center of Varenna; from there, the property is just five minutes away.

By train, from Lecco station, take train 9038A toward Colico and alight at Fiumelatte (5 stops, about 29 minutes). Alternatively, from Colico station take train 9041A toward Lecco. From the station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the villa.

This villa offers its guests a terrace and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
