Marie opens the doors of her fully restored 16th century old mill, accessible by a long shaded driveway; lurking in the hollow of a peaceful wooded hamlet, 2 km from the town of Vendenesse-lès-Charolles. La Semence, a river full of fish, flows along the mill; it will satisfy the desires of amateur fishermen. For the curious, Marie will show you the mechanism of the mill, still in operation at the end of the 20th century. Also take advantage of a walk in the village of Vendenesse-lès-Charolles to visit the Romanesque church of Saint-Denis and admire the 3 lime kilns built in the 20th century by the Compagnie des Fours à chaux de Dombes; do not hesitate to make a detour to the castle of Collanges dating from the 10th century (not open to visitors).
