Great location for the beach.

Nice place overall. Shame the hot water was in such short supply. Showering was interesting as water kept going ice cold. Running a bath was a no go. Staff didn't offer a solution. Apart from that it's a nice place to stay.

Lovely Lido

Great hotel in a lovely, quiet location. The rooms were spotless and spacious. Public transport was nearby. On the whole the staff were very good, especially the ladies in the breakfast room. The exception was a young man on Reception who thought it was OK to smoke in the door way and filling the area with smoke despite the no smoking notices. He was also curt, presumably because we interrupted his smoking. That said, the hotel met all our expectations and we would happily go there again.

Good but not that good.

Our room was showing those traces of age. The shower head dropping, the bath plug jammed, the tap rings rattle, the loo seat chipped, draws refusing to slide...just little things you notice at £156 per night. Then breakfast was all-right...but machine coffee in Italy? Gardens relaxing, but slightly overgrown, the pool chilly in May, Rooms comfortable but the 50 euro fine if you do not clean the kitchen...is that what you expect? We did... but gives the lie to the place.

City break with a difference

We really wanted a weeks holiday as well as a city break to Venice. This hotel on the Lido made our plans work perfectly. The hotel is perfectly placed for a 10 minute stroll to the vaperato (boat bus) to go over to Venice but we loved coming back to the peace and quiet of the Lido. We were there in mid September so weren't sure of the weather and if the pool would still be open but we needn't have worried. The pool is fab and we also spent many an hour on the beautiful and clean public beach just along the road. The accomodation is perfect. As we're not big morning eaters, it was great having the small kitchen area for having cereals, tea, coffee, fruit etc. and the lounge area for resting after a day in the sun and before strolling to the main road where you'll find many restaurants. Flying in to Treviso airport was the only downside. It took over 2 hours by coach and water bus to get to the hotel. We arrived around 1am and spent the next 15 minutes trying to find someone to let us in. The instructions for late arrivals were on the inside of a door which had light reflecting so we couldnt read it!!! We were more than happy with our choice of hotel :o)

Very comfortable escape

Very good suite, away from the crowds in Venice - a refreshing waterbus ride away on the Lido, in peaceful surroundings and close to good value restaurants. Staff extremely helpful, with good local advice and prompt attention to any problems. Some of the facilities could be upgraded for better value (eg tiny outdated tv); breakfast buffet good, but could be monotonous for a stay of several days.
