The hotel is in a nice location and very close to the beach which is why we chose it. However, the room we were given is on the 2nd floor along with the staff rooms and there is maintenance going on early in the morning where you can see and hear people walking on the roof from our balcony. That’s the view from our room which was very disappointing. You can also see cigarette butts piled up on the roof so wasn’t sure if those are from the workers on the roof. Basically, we had the curtains closed most of the time because of that. The moment we got there there was also a long line waiting to park. A lot of people are waiting to valet. I think it would be better if there is a separate line for the valet and the other for cars to go through if they don't need to do valet parking as people who didn’t need to got stuck waiting and were told to check in first at front desk until they could clear it out. I believe there might be a nearby event that day so this may be a one off. The bed was comfortable. Pillows were high but are soft. Staff is friendly and is generally clean. The room needs updating as i see holes on walls and tub has some dark spot chipping. Maybe if you get the higher floors it would be better as the most disappointing part was the maintenance going on the 2nd floor roof.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but not enough towels provided for number of guests. Also, the drain was partially clogged. Don’t go during the local fair! Police blocked off routes to the hotel, and were not helpful. It took a lot of driving in circles to finally talk to an unfriendly person and get in.

Check in is trouble. Their check in time is 4pm and dozens of people were lining up at 4 to check in. People and luggage everywhere. Their process is also really slow, so the line just wasn't moving. We also had a fire alarm go off at 6am. No other communication so wasn't sure if it was real or not. Took about 20 minutes before another alarm went off to tell us it was a false alarm. The only staff at the facility that was friendly and helpful was the parking staff.

The hotel and the staff are awesome. Being human first the people are hard working and really trying their best to provide a nice experience. You can feel the pride of the people working there. What a beautiful place to be. In addition, customer service makes them selves available and easy to access via text. This place has room service! Huge thanks to Jose for his amazing energy when bringing us food. Makes all the difference in the world. We had 2 dirty cups and he came right back with a smile. Wow. Just rare these days. Parking was no hassle and our ocean view room was clean and comfortable. The place isn’t perfect, the staff will make mistakes, (they’re just over worked and under paid like the rest of us) but we will always spend our money here. Ps - our 7 year old (autistic/adhd) son loved it here. Especially the salt water pool and the staff acknowledging him kindly.

Matt the valet made us go find our car on our first day of stay trying to get our car so we can check Ventura around. I find it very rude. And he started a retaliation so the lady working with him at the valet park our car in the parking lot so we have to walk all the way to get our car.
