Lovely clean apartment in a fantastic location

Apartment was in the most amazing location- right in the centre of Verona with the train station only a 15 minute walk away to easily get to Lake Garda. When you arrive you have to go to their offices to collect the keys but this was only a short walk away and we had no need to return there during our stay. Apartment was in a lovely condition.

Meraviglioso!

Our apartment was fantastic. The location was perfect and the condition was excellent. The staff managing the location were very helpful. They even took the time to have their local ISP troubleshoot and fix the internet connection when we found that it had stopped working. The only negative was that the lock on the apartment door was finicky. Sometimes it would work fine but on the day we left, it took me about five minutes to unlock the door and I have a lot of experience with the double-sided Italian door keys and sticky locks. It was likely just a temporary problem.

A nicely restored apartment but for €100 a night I would like air conditioning in July-August. Hot water was scarce too. Otherwise, a very good place.

Excellent communication even before our arrival. I cancelled a rental car and Dimore Verona arranged for a pick up which took us first to their office for registration and check in and later dropped us to the apartment, all for the price of €25. This was very reasonable considering that the apartment was in the old city with restrictions on cars being driven outside a few specified hours. The apartment itself was modern, clean and very comfortable apart from a bed whose springs had outlived their useful life. The WiFi was excellent. It had all other amenities like air conditioning, washing machine and ironing facilities. There was dish washing liquid and detergent for the washing machine as well. There was even an elevator to take us to the first floor apartment if there was heavy luggage to be carried up. The place felt safe and quiet and a bit upmarket. t one stage we had a difficulty in operating the washing machine. Messaging on WhatsApp solved the problem and someone came over and fixed it whilst we were out. The best thing About the apartment was its location. Barely three minutes walk from the Arena and the main square Piazza Bra and the main shopping street ie Via Mazzini. In fact Verona old town is a very walkable place and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our special thanks to Giulia who dealt with our arrival as well as helping to receive our suitcase which arrived a day after we had landed. All in all, an experience that is worth repeating.

Not worth the cost!

The cleanliness was good, but the apartment was a bit tired. I was supprised that there was no oven considering it was supposed to be self catering, just a hob and microwave, which we had to unplug every time we wanted to boil the kettle as there was only one plug! Also, the bed was worn out and therefore very uncomfortable. Would I recommend, not really.

Handy to city

Was spacious and clean and very handy to city (hop on hop off at end of street) Would stay here again and recommend. However found it very interesting that while we had to pay an extra cleaning fee, $50 nzd, on top of our Hotels.com cost we were made aware of the fact that if we did not remove all our rubbish from the room and do the dishes, we would be charged more again. Our stay was 2 nights.

Lovely apartment very close to attractions

We stayed here for two weeks in September. Booking in and out was very easy. The apartment has everything you need and top quality. The location is perfect, we did almost everything on foot (and we are pensioners!). We also used the bus and train services to visit Venice, Milan, Bologna and Lake Garda, all of which were cheap and easy to do. Marvellous stay and we will be back.

Lovely new apartment with almost everything we needed. We suggest bedside lamps so not to disturb the other person and as mentioned a holder in the shower for shampoo etc. This is not a complaint as the service was superb and the apartment just behind the arena was great. Beautiful Verona and Home!

We loved staying in the beautiful city of Verona in our lovely home Dimore Verona. The house was large enough for 5.adults and met all our needs. Stepping outside the dour you have a stunning river walk and so much within walking distance. The staff were so helpful giving information about the city, where to shop and even calling for an early morning cab. If we ever have the opportunity to travel to Verona again we would love to stay here at this wonderful home.

Good option if you are looking for a self catering apartment in Verona. Location was clean and near the centre of town and bus routes. Helpful friendly staff. Please note there is an additional cleaning fee.

Very nice stay

The check in staff was very helpful with maps bus stops and train schedules. they were very friendly and spoke very good English. The room was in a very nice and central location. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked well but the other sleeping space did not have one so it was a bit warm. It was nice to have a refrigerator. We enjoyed the stay.

Comfortable apartment, great location

Stayed in Verona in Cadrega 3 for 7 nights in June 2017. The apartment was spacious with a large lounge and bedroom and it feels like a 'proper' apartment rather than an 'aparthotel'. The bathroom does need a bit of attention, especially the shower cubicle on which the doors slide rather precariously. Apart from that, it is a comfortable space to lounge in with a big comfortable sofa and a large TV, a reasonably equipped kitchen and plenty of hanging and drawer space in the bedroom. The location is on a quiet side street next to a Trattoria which is fairly busy in the evenings but the hum of voices is never intrusive in the apartment. The distance to Piaza Erbe, pretty much the centre of Verona, is only a 5-7 minute stroll. The Internet connection is fairly fast and works well. Check-in is in another building which is about a 15 minutes on foot but Giulia and Anna were extremely helpful and answered all email queries quickly and efficiently. All in all our experience with the apartment was very positive and added to the great food, charm and elegance of this lovely city.

Perfect spot

Wonderful apartment close to the center of town. Easy walking distance to all the major attractions. Staff where more than wonderful from check in to check out. Would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for accommodation close to all the major attractions.

Good location - Dimore Sottoriva 19

The apartment is well located, it is in a residential block on the third floor with an elevator. The apartment is recently renovated, very clean and is well equipped. The apartment has sloping a sloping roof, which makes it very inconvenient if you are tall! The shower is over the bath and has a sloping roof, difficult! The washing machine does not spin dry the clothes. The apartment has air conditioning. The booking in system location is different to the actual apartment address. Expedia confirmation email days prior to the check in did not have the book in address!

Hotel Dimore Verona.

Whoever booking this - please bear in mind this is not a hotel. Dimore Verona is an agency who are responsible for the apartments. They allocated me an apartment which was 20 mins walk but the staff informed it was 10 mins walk. there are no transfer or offer of drop offs. However on the plus side, the apartment was big and spacious. There were no English channels on TV. Clean apartment and was 15 mins walk to centre.

Not what you expect

I booked this apartment based on the location from the arena but when I arrived. I was told the room was somewhere else. It was more than 1 km away and no where near the arena. Although the walk was no problem, this is not what I paid for and what was described. The apartment was dated and the bed was very uncomfortable. I belive the hotel pictures and the location was a deception and I would not recommend this to anyone.

Central to all the places to visit.

Beautiful setting. Shower is useless, not good considering the country's temperature! We got there for check in & the room hadn't been cleaned so had to wait a further 45 mins until we could get in. (This was 3pm, so not early) Considering the extortionate cleaning fee, this was unacceptable. (There were no staff, so I can't grade that!)
