Designed for families and larger groups, the house offers 7 bedrooms, 3 brand-new bathrooms (2025), a spacious kitchen, two dining areas, two cosy living rooms, and a fireplace. Plenty of room to gather, and plenty of space to breathe.
This is also a truly special base for winter stays: thanks to the location and open skies, the property is a fantastic spot to experience the Northern Lights in crisp, crystal-clear conditions when the aurora is active.
Step outside to your private pier, where you’ll find two exclusive architect-designed saunas right by the water. Perfect for slow evenings, ocean air, and the ultimate Lofoten ritual: winter cold plunges / ice bathing followed by deep heat and fjord views. (available as optional add-ons)

The property
Villa Borgvåg is located at the very tip of the Borgvåg peninsula on Vestvågøy, right in the heart of Lofoten. The area has a long history as an active fishing village. Since the Middle Ages, Borgvåg has been a place where fishermen sought shelter, dried their catch, and built a small seasonal community around the famous cod fisheries. While fishing is less dominant today, the landscape still carries its maritime heritage—traces of old boathouse sites and landing spots can still be found along the shoreline.
Today, Villa Borgvåg is a freshly renovated, spacious holiday home that blends this historic setting with modern comfort. The house spans two floors and works beautifully for families, groups of friends, and smaller gatherings.

One is spacious with large windows facing the sea, fjord, and mountain scenery—perfect for social evenings and long meals. Cozy fireplace also available.
The other is more intimate: a natural spot for quiet nights with games, conversation, or a good book. Or to watch a movie.
Outdoor area
A generous terrace and sun deck offer panoramic views of fjord, sea, and mountains—enjoy the midnight sun in summer and, if conditions are right, the Northern Lights in winter.

A rare highlight at Villa Borgvåg is the private pier by the sea, with two exclusive architect-designed wood-fired saunas positioned right at the water’s edge. Alternate between deep heat and a refreshing dip in the ocean—especially magical in winter, when ice bathing becomes a true Lofoten experience. The saunas are available as optional add-ons during your stay.
