The location is the only plus.

The location was great. The hotel was old and it’s sad that we have to pay that much for a mediocre hotel. I doubt my room had anything remodelled since building many years ago. The parking was limited and I know for a fact that many people flew in my group. If we’d all have cars, we would’ve been in trouble.

The hotel is in a good location. However, be aware that the staff only answer when asked; they are not proactive. For example, they did not mention at check-in that the pool was out of service. Housekeeping is not provided every day, and you need to ask if you want additional coffee pods for stays longer than two nights. Parking is available on the premises—it’s a bit small, but manageable if you’re not moving your car often. Also, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. A small fan is provided, but it isn’t quite enough for the size of the room, which was larger than expected.

Looks like room hasn’t been deeply cleaned in ages. Drawers are dirty , curtains are ripped and coffee machine is nasty never been cleaned. More worse to it found a lot of hair everywhere in the bathroom, in the bath tub also which is causing the drain line bathtub to be blocked and water does back up while having shower. Property manager really needs to look into these aspects.

Quick Victoria trip

The Quality Inn was great in a pinch for a quick get away to Victoria. The central location was very useful. The only minor issue was as arranging for parking which could only happen after registration but it’s a minor quibble.

Difficult arrival pulling off road to unload and then given poor directions to nearby parking lot as hotel carpark full. Unfortunate manner of staff member on duty but pleasant team in morning. No breakfast offer - discount at nearby Cora. Not a great experience but have to admit good price for room with such a central location and easy walk to harbour

The stay was okay. It’s not the best and not the worst. Obviously the common complaint is no A/C. The hallways are cooled but the rooms aren’t. That makes NO sense. If the temps are mild I am sure it’s not an issue but it was 29 and 30 degrees while I was there and I suffered in that room. The rooms are dated and need some reno at some point. The door did not lock which was a major fail. Sure you have the latch at the top portion of the door which allows someone to open it about 4 inches. No deadbolt lock or something more secure. That is a huge fail and unsafe. I can say the location to everything downtown was great.
