Ottakring is the name of the 16th district in Vienna. In this district, it is where beer Ottakringer, a well loved local beer is brewed. To the West of the district, it is bordering with nature and greenery, which brings a charming touch to the district. Bruennenmarkt is an outdoor open market that is (after Naschmarkt) the most extensive market for exotic fresh food, fruit and vegetables. One of the few sightseeing attractions of Ottakring are the Schloss Wilhelminenberg palace, and the star observatory Kuffner Sternwarte. Taking in the scenen and feel of this district, makes you feel a whole different colourful and diverse side of Vienna.
Heading to the West of the district, and take in the nature while dining in one of the restaurants in the middle of the greenery such as Villa Aurora, or exploring the Austrian cuisine in ones of the taverns (Heuriger) in neighbourhood of the Ottakringer brewery, be sure to try out the local beer for a taste of Vienna. To the East of the district or cross the Neubau belt road to the 6th and 7th districts, where there are a lot of different cuisines from Italian to Thai or Vietnamese restaurants, big or small waiting to surprise you and make your night ends with good food in good mood.

The apartment is located on Hasnerstrasse, one of the main streets in the 16th districts. It is located minutes away from tramline 9, connects you directly to the West train station (Westbahnhof) and to Technology Museum of Vienna, where it is also very close to Schoenbrunn palace.
