The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Weird set up. I guess it’s meant for long term stays. We had to go outside to get to our building. They was no hand soap in the room which I found weird.

From check-in to departure and excellent experience!! Spread over a number of buildings, the Somerset Schönbrunn Vienna is a great place to stay. Free tea/coffee in reception is a bonus. On a frequent tram route to the city centre/closest railway station - This was a plus point for the accommodation. A very well appointed 1 bedroom apartment. Spacious, light and airy. Spotlessly clean throughout. Laundry/Pantry available in each building for your essentials such as kitchen roll/toilet roll, extra towels etc. Room did not have a particularly scenic view - they area is urban and next to the railway line - BUT the patio doors/windows were triple glazed - so you weren't disturbed by the noise. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned once during out 9 day stay - which was more than adequate. The gym was good - and free! Pizza place was superb - reasonably priced and great food. We felt very much at home and would recommend this accommodation for travellers who don't 'need' to be in the centre of a city to explore it!!

We stayed for 3 nights to explore Vienna and the Christmas markets. The hotel was lovely, reception looked modern and the Christmas tree and piano were a nice touch. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our room / apartment was on the 4th floor. It was clean, very spacious with a bedroom, bathroom and separate living area. Everything looked new, the furniture was modern and the kitchen had everything needed to make meals, including a coffee maker, decent size fridge and freezer and a dishwasher. We even had a balcony! The bedroom was spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable, we had 3 great nights sleep. Storage was good and the shower was excellent, good water pressure and an even temperature. The hotel was a bit out of the city but close to Schonbrunn Palace. Transport options were excellent with a tram stop right outside and trains and underground not far away too. A very enjoyable stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Très bel appartement mobilier moderne, très bien équipé, la chambre penthouse est idéal lorsque nous voyageons avec des enfants. Emplacement idéal lorsqu’on vient en voiture. Petit défaut fauteuils de salon et chaises de salle à manger pleins de tâches (pas évident de les gardées propre lorsque les meubles sont de couleur clair, ce qui peut faire sale), la seul chose qui nous a manqué dans notre appartement est un grille pain. Attention le parking est hors de prix (39 eur par jour) et ne dépend pas de l’hôtel mais très pratique surtout dans le quartier où il n’y a pas de place parking. Le restaurant est excellent bonne qualité des produits. Je vous déconseille de prendre le petit déjeuner qui est hors de prix pour la qualité des produits proposés (jus de fruits mauvais, peut de variété de viennoiseries et pas extraordinaire, œufs brouillés sec, pain à découper qui ne donne pas envie). Malgré quelques petits défauts je conseille vivement cet établissement nous avons passer un séjour magnifique.

Great property for family

Great location away from town , yet convenient to commute between places of interests. Room is compact but contains everything required for a pleasant stay. The pizza restaurant is always busy so I guess the food must be good. It is an ideal choice for family travelling together

The hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre a 15 minute tram ride from right outside takes you into the main shopping and cultural area. The front of the hotel does get road noise 24 hours. The area is industrial not scenic, but safe, with plenty of supermarkets a short tram ride or less than10 minute walk away. The local Spar satisfied what we needed. The Somerset is a great base to explore Vienna and the surrounding area, it's clean and functional as is Vienna as a whole. Internally there was no noise from other guests though the hotel was full. The kitchen area had everything you need to prepare basic meals though half our hob wasn't working at the time we visited. The shower and bathroom were spacious. The Aircon quickly sorted out the usual stuffy hotel room atmosphere on arrival and at night.The public transport system is fantastic, we bought a city centre ticket which covers buses trams and trains at €28 for a week absolute bargain but you will need an additional ticket €2.20 from the airport.If you do hire a car be warned the car park adjoining the hotel is €38 per day. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel it was a last minute change of mind for us from a city centre hotel and we weren't disappointed.
