Our family stayed in the Junior Suite and we are very happy with our stay for the most part. Our disappointment was more in what the area was missing for amenities, not the hotel, as they were great. 5 STARS to the family running the Viking Hotel! We were greeted with a freindly smile and instructions for the continental breakfast. The breakfast offers more than what you get for most Continenetal breakfasts. They had multiple varieties of breads and bagels, 3-5 variaties of dry cerial, fresh apples, bananas, yogurt, coffee, tea and fresh juices. 5 STARS for breakfast The hotel itself looks very old and dated; howerver; ownership looks to be currently renovating many areas, including the suite we were staying in. They have chosen a very clean sleek marble look, that reminds me of Las Vegas! Anytime we needed anything, the family was readily avaibale to assist with a smile. This hotel is 2 stories, so if you have anyone with you with disabilities/mobility issues, then please ensure you book on the 1st level as there is no elevator currently. This was my mistake as I booked this room before we knew others would be joining. Nothing wrong with the property condition, only got a 4 star due to construction, so they will be a 5 star soon :) Area around the property got a 1 star, as there was no where to get prepared food after 6pm, with the exception of Subway, so difficult to eat healthy.

Staff was not always present at the front desk. Main doors get locked at 11 pm and no after hours assistance posted. My room only came with 1 roll of toilet paper.

Small Town Gem

The Viking inn has been refurbished and is looking great. This was my second stay - I was here last year - and I can see some improvements. The room was very clean and tidy, the lobby big and bright and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They offer a breakfast of cereals, toast, bagels fresh fruit and yogurt. I am gluten free and they offered to get some gluten free bread for me as I was there three days. (Very kind but I brought my own). I will definitely go back.

Renovated, clean

The outside is run down and the hallways, but the rooms and lobby have all been renovated. It was very clean and they offered a basic breakfast. It exceeded what I expected.

This is probably your best option in Viking. There is no maid service and the parking lot was super icy. The bedding was not comfotable and they only provide 2 pillows per bed. The staff were friendly but didn't speak much English.

The staff were very good! The beds are very comfortable The rain and snow mixed with the cold, made the parking lot difficult to walk. The staff tried hard to keep the entrance clear. There were no hangers for our clothes. No bench for our suitcases Need more power outlets around the bed A coffee nook/coffee pot More than 1 chair For 2 people, there should be at lesst 4 pillows.
