Cozy & Romantic Chalet-Style Flat with Mountain View: Ideal for Skiing & Hiking
In Brief:
Very cute, cozy and romantic apartment in a chalet-style decoration. Huge balcony facing south with sun all day and views on nearby nature. Extremely peaceful and quiet environment. Very family- and child-friendly. Located at the bottom of the slopes with hiking and mountain-bike trails all around. Just outside the Residence, there are tourism & post offices, a grocery shop, 2 restaurants, the ski school, a small ice-skating rink, the bus station, a ski rental shop and an après-ski bar in winter.
The apartment is ideal for families with children, mountain- and nature-lovers, as well as for more long-term accommodation for seasonal employmees (for instance winter season or summer season).
In Details:
The apartment is composed of one bedroom with queen-size bed, one living room with a sofabed for two people, a fully-equipped kitchen in the corner and a dining table which can also be used as office desk.
The apartment comes with a heated car park in the upper basement, washing machines and dryers in the lower basement and a ski-locker on the ground floor.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee machine, a fridge and everything you need to cook, even for fondue and raclette;)
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub for cold winter days :)
The living room has a TV with several international channels, a sofa bed in which two people can sleep.
The bedroom is very cozy and quiet and can also host two people to sleep. There is a wardrobe in the bedroom and also at the entrance of the apartment where you have plenty of space to store your shoes and your clothes.
The balcony has a big table with four chairs and three very relaxing deckchairs on which you can lay back and relax.
There are also a hair dryer, an iron and an iron table, a hot water bottle and an umbrella just in case. There is a garden accessible to all residents where children can play and further on all horizons there are all the forests and mountains you would wish for :)
Guest access:
Guests can feel at home in the flat, the whole flat is theirs :) There is also an elevator for wheelchair access or if you have a lot of luggage from the parking area.
Neighborhood overview:
The neighborhood is mainly nature-nature-nature: mountains and forests :)
In winter, you may ski in one of the biggest ski resorts in Europe, Les Portes du Soleil, spanning over the border between Switzerland and France with over 650 km of ski slopes :)
In summer, you may hike or bike as long as your legs hold you, or you may just relax on the balcony in the sun and read your favorite book while reading your favorite cake :)
You may be lucky and spot some deers on your hikes so keep your eyes peeled :)
If you hike higher up, you may enjoy the magnificent view over the Geneva Lake (Lac Léman) and even all the way to the Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in Europe.
Literally one minute foot from the flat, you may find two restaurants, one grocery shop, the tourism and post offices, the bus station, a playground for kids, an ice-skating rink in winter and tennis fields in summer, the swiss ski school , a ski rental and sports shop and an après-ski bar in winter.
If you go further down in the village, there are two further restaurants, another ski rental shop and a hotel. There is even a suspension bridge like in Bhutan over the little valley and the river on the path leading from the residence to the village.
Getting around:
If you come by car, it is very easy for you to drive up the serpentine road for a mere 20 minutes after having left the highway in the Rhone Valley near Aigle.
If you come by bus, you may take it from the train station in Aigle. It runs for approximately 40 minutes and stops right in front of the Residence. There is even free wifi on the bus. However, there are only 5 nozzles a day per direction so check out the schedules carefully.
This might be tricky at times, but this is also what makes the place so peaceful, quiet and allows it to preserve its natural beauty :)

Torgon is a lovely traditional little mountain village linked to a huge ski resort consisting of 650 km ski slopes, so it has the advantage of being very small, cute, calm and peaceful, with traditional chalets everywhere and keeping a very quiet and authentic flair, while still giving access to fabulous slopes and sceneries :)

Being a Swiss mountain-lover living in Asia, I will sadly not be there in person to meet and greet you with a huge smile.
