The location right on the boardwalk is convenient and nice, and the staff and maintenance crew are excellent and friendly. The building and rooms are not being maintained. The toilets are small and tend to clog easily. One of the beds in our room sounded (and felt) like a spring or two was broken when you sat on the bed. Also, there is no longer a restaurant at this hotel.

The Bed was uncomfortable, TV had big blotches all over it and phone didnt work. Things could use some updating. The restaurant was closed. Staff was very nice and friendly. We were allowed to bring our ebikes into the room which was very helpful. Parking was very easy.

Everything was great. Quite and clean. Perfect spot over looking the boardwlak amd ocean. The only problem i had... was kitchen was down so no breakfast in morning.. i understand issue. But... should have bagels . Muffins fruit apples bannanas even dry cereal and milk offered as others do when kitchen down. And leave coffee open whole time breakfast would of been if had it to 10 a.m. as stated on sign. Bei g kitchen was closes they also shut down coffee maker at 9a.m.. thats early to close off the o ly rhi g offered.. there is room coffee but i dont care for my coffee in little diaper bags lol brewe fresh beans the best... other than that stff is friendly and helpfull!! Lo ed my stay will come.again!! Thank you all! P.S. every room should ha e a broom.and dustpan so we can sweep the sand on the floor everyday ourself.. ha e to wipe bottom of feet off all the time. It comes in on clothes towel the air the baloney. So a broom wouldbe ni e to be. Left in the room.. ill be bringing my own next time to be sure i got one. Island of 🌴 palms lea es brooms for uour use and we swept up 3 times from kids. It was great to have. ;)

It was a great place to stay at the beach. The coffee offered each morning was an added bonus. I wish they had offered a little something for breakfast. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The ocean view was breathtaking. Parking was difficult sometimes, even though they have an old parking garage across the street. We will stay here again.

Our room over look the beach. The only draw back was the room was 80 and it didnt cool down with the ac on unitl 8pm. Other than that it was great. Still 5 stars.

Nice Staff,Old Hotel, and Unwanted Surprises

We stayed at the Oceanfront Inn for a quick overnight trip. At first glance, the hotel seemed clean, though it’s definitely showing its age especially in the bathrooms, which are very dated. Parking is just okay. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot in front of the hotel, you’re in good shape. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the parking deck, which is tight, low-ceilinged, and hard to navigate. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice, friendly, and clearly working hard. They were always moving, cleaning, and trying to help wherever needed definitely a bright spot during our visit. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. As we were packing up to check out on our second day, we found a roach in the corner of our room. That alone had us ready to leave immediately. Then, when our friends went to take a quick dip in the pool before heading out, we walked into the pool area and spotted another, even larger roach on its back wriggling on the floor. That sealed the deal for us. Between the bugs and the dated conditions, this was a dealbreaker. Despite the wonderful staff, we won’t be staying here again.

The accommodation was satisfactory, although several areas require improvement. The air conditioning unit was suboptimal, and the balcony window displayed significant soiling from children's chocolate, which remained uncleaned. Additionally, residual sand was present on the floor, and the alarm clock's premature activation at 5:00 AM disrupted the family's sleep. My key card had stopped working on day two ofour stay and had to get deactivated.

This hotel is okay. It was probably really nice 20 years ago. The carpet has been updated in the halls, but not much else. This hotel could use a deep clean and an update. Parking was scarce, with the majority being an overflow garage across the street. That said, it is on the beach, with a balcony, and had vacancy for when we needed it.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel offered everything one could want, including 3 fully functional elevators (amazing the elevator experience I've had at Va Beach) and a lovely indoor pool.
