Bel Sogno: a beautiful dream

We hope you'll feel the same way after spending some time in our Italian home

Casa Bel Sogno is part of Borgo Collevicchi. This restored building was once a farmhouse. The borgo is located on a hill in the heart of Tuscany with breathtaking views of the rolling countryside and the ancient hilltop village of Volterra. The surrounding slopes are covered with olive trees and cornfields.

Our apartment is surrounded by cypress trees and has a landscaped garden. It has all modern amenities and, at the same time, captures the Tuscan feeling with its architecture and design. Enjoy a cappuccino on the spacious benches in the morning sun or dinner at the table with a view of Volterra under the spacious pergola that protects against sun and rain.

Each of the two well-appointed bedrooms has its own air conditioning to provide comfort during the warm summer evenings. To catch the gentle breezes, mosquito nets have been installed on metal tracks so that the double doors can be opened and the little itchy guests stay outside.

The master bedroom has two separate single beds (200x90) that can be joined to form a king-size bed (200x180). This master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed (200x150). The bathroom for this bedroom is just across the hall.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer. A coffee maker, milk frother, kettle, toaster, and ample tableware are provided.

The apartment has a washing machine. Laundry can be air-dried in the courtyard.

The entire apartment is on the ground floor, has no stairs, is barrier-free inside, and has only a low threshold at the entrance.

A panoramic swimming pool makes the borgo a special and relaxing place after a day of sightseeing in Tuscany. The swimming pool (8x4 meters) is open from mid-May to mid-September (weather permitting). You can watch the sun set from the terrace by the pool.

The pictures online do not do Villa Bel Sogno justice! It is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views in all directions. We met the property manager Luigi when we arrived and he gave us a quick tour. Because it was November, we were the ONLY ones there as all the other owners were gone for the season. The apartment is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. For the 3 of us, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect. Having access to a washing machine during our travels really helped. Grocery stores are very close so we had local meat, cheese, olives, and bread with wine every day for Happy Hour. We even made dinner one night. We texted Luigi to order Croissants and Ciabatta from a local bakery for us and they were delivered early the following morning - a nice treat.Bel Sogno is the perfect location for exploring the nearby towns. Before we arrived, the information we received about the area was extremely helpful in planning our time there, especially taking the train to Florence, and restaurant/winery recommendations.We did have a few glitches as new owners had recently taken possession of the property. However, with Luigi’s help, all issues were addressed quickly. While not necessary, they refunded part of our stay and gave us a delicious bottle of wine to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We felt it was more than generous. We can’t recommend Bel Sogno highly enough – our only regret was that we ONLY stayed 6 nights!

Brilliant accommodation in a stunning setting. An incredibly peaceful part of Italy with plenty to see and do. The house was superbly presented and has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Wow!! The beauty of this location is hard to describe- it was like living in a painting! The house was perfect for our family of 5. It was a great home base to discover nearby towns like Volterra and San Gimignano. Luigi’s restaurant on the property was a highlight! Astonishing! Amazing! Incredible! We absolutely loved our time in Bel Sogno. The property is immaculately clean, exquisitely maintained, and has everything you could want. (Including the most comfortable beds we have experienced in Europe.) The location is perfect. And the people are fantastic. Eric and Tania were absolutely lovely to work with and Luigi and his family (who maintain the property and run the Agriturismo restaurant on the grounds) are just wonderful. Several times since we left, everyone in my family (including the teenagers) have said “I miss Luigi!” If you plan to spend time in Tuscany, this is a perfect home base. Make sure you eat at least one meal at Santa Vittoria, Luigi’s restaurant. The food is incredible, the service couldn’t be better, and the views are unparalleled. We hope to return to Tuscany someday and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Stay in Tuscany

We absolutely adored this property! The pictures dont do it justice. The apartment itself was spacious and clean and the grounds were amazing. Everything we could have hoped for for our stay in Tuscany! Also, Luigi and his family (the owners of the property and restaurant) were sweet and helpful. The owners of the VRBO were great with communication and suggestions and even when we had a small problem with the washer. I would absolutely recommend this place to others!

Tuscan Treasure

We truly loved our stay at Bel Sogno. We stayed 5 nights with friends and did not want to leave. The Villa was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked. Luigi the property manager was available for questions and communication was very easy. We enjoyed our dinners and breakfast at his nearby agriturismo. The town of Volterra was lovely and we enjoyed our drives through the Tuscan countryside. But the best part of our entire stay was the time we spent on the lovely patio enjoying the beautiful view. We absolutely loved our stay at Bel Sogno. The view was ridiculous. The location was perfect. The property was meticulous. And the property manager and hosts were all the greatest! Truly magical

Eric and Tania’s villa was truly a delight to stay in. My bestie and I each had our own comfortable bedroom and our own bathroom as well. The views were amazing in every direction and Luigi makes delicious cappuccinos. We rented a car in Florence very easily and had no trouble finding Santa Victoria. Eric and Tania provided tons of great local gems for us to check out. Highly recommend Villa Bel Sogno!

10 magical days in Tuscany!

Our stay at Eric and Tania’s Tuscan treasure was beyond our expectations! Lovely, well appointed villa overlooking magnificent scenery in the Tuscan hills with Volterra in the background. Every aspect (reservations, check in, communications, responsiveness from owners, villa amenities) were top notch! This location gave excellent access to so many areas of Tuscany within day drives, and for those evenings that you want to park the car, a very short walk across the parking lot leads you to Luigi’s panoramic restaurant. Delicious food! The large pool area was wonderful to spend an afternoon at, and our private terrace for evening drinks and dining was even better. We would highly recommend Eric and Tania’s beautiful Tuscan Villa, so well situated at Borgo Collevicchi!

Beautiful location with great views of Tuscany hills

The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing on the apartments patio soaking up the countryside views. Quick and easy check in and great communication with hosts. Highly recommend if you are looking for a home base to explore Tuscany or just a quiet place to relax. We did eat at the agriturismo restaurant across the way and it was amazing. Highly recommend this apartment.

Beautiful Bel Sogno

We had another beautiful holiday at Bel Sogno - this was our second stay. It was again very clear it was a good decision to come back. Everywhere you look is just beautiful - feels like you’ve jumped into a painting. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. The pool is wonderful and refreshing in the August heat. This trip we drove all the way from the uk, this was 2 days of driving, we were pretty exhausted but within the first few hours we felt completely relaxed and this is due to the environment and beautiful surroundings. Dinners at Luigi’s (on site) are great quality along with beautiful sunsets. We LOVE Volterra - to us just as nice if not nicer than some of a larger more famous towns but without the crowds. We enjoyed paninis for lunch from a little sandwich shop just off of the main square (which always has a queue) they were delicious along with the kids to favourite gelato spots - chic & Shock or L'isola del Gusto. Hosts are very responsive to any queries and welcoming to their home. We can’t wait to come back again - Volterra and Bel Sogno are very special.

Magical week in Tuscany

We stayed at Bel Sogno for a week to attend a wedding near Volterra. It was a magical time. The views from the property were stunning. The outdoor space was amazing and the indoor spaces were comfortable and well-furnished. We made cappuccinos daily to enjoy with croissants that we purchased from the nearby farmhouse. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed and the house attractively furnished. I'm still thinking about our time there. This stay was a perfect getaway after a hectic week in Rome and Florence—our thanks to hosts Tania and Eric and manager Luigi for the perfect Tuscan retreat.

Comfort and serenity

This rental has everything you could possibly need and more. It was so comfortable, we felt like we were in our own home. But the bonus was an incredible view and the location. We definitely recommend having Arianna and Friends come to the house for cooking class. It has been the highlight of our trip so far. Eric and Tania were amazing at communicating frequently and whenever we had questions. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Spectacular location

With out a doubt this property was the best it could be. Location, view, residence,comfort. We felt so at home here and enjoyed every minute of our 7 day stay.
