Holiday home Wageningen. You are in the villa village 'Wageningen Hoog', with many villas and houses that are worth looking at from a distance. A little further on is the 'hondeveldje', a piece of nature that may be worth a look with children. The cycling track is directly adjacent to the area 'De Eng'. This area is characterised by the undulations in the landscape on the north side of Wageningse Berg, where the old football stadium 'De wageningse Berg' is located.
In the immediate vicinity, nature is very varied, such as the Wageningse Berg with its many (forest) footpaths, the Ginkelse Heide with its sheepfold and shepherd, the Binnenveld with its beautiful farm roads and stretched natural beauty and, of course, the beautiful landscape on the banks of the Rhine with its ferry. Wageningen is situated where the Veluwe, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Gelderse Vallei and Betuwe meet. These beautiful tracts of land guarantee variety and beauty. Ideal then, is the spider's web of cycling and walking paths in the area. Here and there by ferry to the other side, or by boat down the Grebbeberg, you will be amazed at the possibilities!
Recreation Children can go to the Living Room to play, etc. There is a jeu-de-boules court The Game-o-theek is a godsend in less good weather The heated swimming pool is open from March to October. In the school holidays, there is an extensive recreation programme, weather permitting and the park has started organising it. Please check with the owner first! Sanitary facilities / laundrette Of course, you have access to shower, toilet and washing facilities in your holiday home, but there is no washing machine in the home. There is a launderette on the Wielerbaan with washing machines and tumble dryers. Catering / shop Restaurant De Kantine Terrace Restaurant for an affordable meal Shop for groceries Snack bar
The terrace has garden furniture, a parasol and two deckchairs. The garden is fenced and therefore also perfectly suitable for children and dogs.
Two ladies' bikes are available for free use. Please ask the owner. There is also a camp bed and highchair for small children in the holiday home.
The holiday home is located at the edge of the forests of Wageningen-Hoog. Within 100 metres, you can go for a walk or take a cycle route (klompenpaden). On the other side is the Wageningse Eng, a rolling landscape with stretched out nature. The Wageningse Berg is also worth a visit. The centre of Wageningen with its many restaurants and supermarkets is about 1000 m away. Wageningen University makes it a student town, which means there are many catering establishments and entertainment options. Theatre Junushoff, Heerenstraat theatre (cinema) for your theatre or film visits. Wageningen city of liberation is Wageningen's motto. Wageningen has a rich history, especially in connection with the liberation of the Netherlands in World War II. Because of this, there is a liberation festival (5 May) and there are still many attractions about this in the city, including Hotel de Wereld, where peace was signed in the presence of Prince Bernhard.
