Located just outside the charming city of Waldport, Captain Arnold is the perfect getaway for small to medium-size parties planning their next Oregon Coast vacation.
There are five bedrooms and one converted bedroom in the garagewith a bunk bed, spread out over 2,700 square feet. The gourmet kitchen, which has been furnished with new appliances, has plenty of counter space andis sure to be a hit with the foodies in your party. For those who would rather play at the beach until the dinner bell rings, the dining room table is big enough for the whole party. We haven’t forgotten the kids, both old and young. The garage has a ping pong table and it a great place for the kids! Between the hot tub, the fire pit, or the cozy living room, there is always a great place to spend the evening, no matter the weather.
During the day, private beach access is your gateway to miles of sandy beaches. Just about 50 yards from the house, a small tidal creek running through the sand is just begging to be explored. And it’s all just seconds from the back door of this stunning Oregon Coast home.

*Monday-Saturday arrivals are at 3:30 p.m. Departures are always at 10:30 a.m.
***Absolutely no gatherings, parties, or weddings. Events, such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other activities that exceed maximum occupancy are prohibited.

When you book with us, a hold of $200 will be put on your card starting the day you arrive at our beach house until 7 days post departure. If all of the check-out items on the departure list are completed and no extra cleaning is required, the hold on your card will be released. Reminder: This functions not as a charge where the money ever leaves your account, but a pre-authorized amount by the cardholder that could be retrieved by OPI if extra cleaning was needed after your stay. Let us know if you have further questions.

Great beach access and lots of room for a big group or family. Waldport is about 4 miles away. The house is very well stocked and they provided a very comprehensive manual on how to's for the home and your responsibilities in checking out of the home. Our only issue was with the hot tub. It wasn't very clean and was missing parts and headrests. We didn't get in it until the 2nd night so there wasn't much the management team could do to rectify the situation. We learned we should check upon arrival to see if it is clean and heated.

What a wonderful property in an incredible location! Our family fell in love with Captain Arnold from the moment we arrived. Everything is very high quality, perfectly clean and has that cozy feel. It is even better than in the pictures. Just perfect for us and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful home right on the ocean!

We loved our time here with our adult children & their spouses! 5 bedrooms with king or queen beds. Updated bathrooms and well-appointed kitchen. Loved the deck, hot tub with ocean view, and the fire pit. Close to Waldport, Newport and Yachats. We will definitely stay here again!

Great place for family reunion vacation!

This property was exactly as described. Kids loved being close to the beach. Also close to nice beach hiking. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the areas in the house to spread out. Quick response to an issue we had at the house.

We had a quiet time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We originally had 5 people but 2 of them canceled. We ate well and were warm, dry, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. The large house has great views and we loved having plenty of bathrooms. Thank you for our lovely getaway.

Beautiful home, well appointed, with relaxing vibes! Our family of 9 had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors or relax inside. Loved the view, bedrooms, back deck, and kitchen. Hot tub was enjoyed, fire pit looked great, we just didn’t get a chance to use it. Negatives- although there are plenty of fees with vacation rentals, this one doesn’t have a cleaning fee, so the downside is having to do a pretty long list of chores at the end of your vacation- not our favorite thing to do, we’d rather a cleaning fee so we could relax to the last moment! It was a beautiful home and we’re sure you’d enjoy your time there!

We absolutely loved Captain Arnold! Everything was perfect at this home, decorative detailing, everything labeled for easy finding and put away. We had 7 adults and 3 kids with us and we never once felt crowded. The big picture windows make for amazing wake up views as well as sunset views! This house was absolutely perfect, thank you so much for making our beach get away forever memorable. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful renovation. Liked cooking on the new stove. Wondered why there were no towel bars in downstairs bathroom and no shelf in upstairs bathroom. We stayed in the old house and thought this was a huge improvement. We love the easy access to the beach. A great place for a small family getaway.
