You will just Love staying here. Located about 15-20 minutes from Jefferson, NC so you're close enough to enjoy everything in the High Country! You have amazing views of our locally famous Three Top Mountain which has an elevation of 5,020 ft. Three Top Mountain is one of the more impressive mountains in the NC High Country, located in the northwest corner of North Carolina.

Inside you will find this beautiful cabin decorated in beautiful log cabin style. The kitchen is fully stocked with most everything you need to prepare your favorite meal. The dining table is hand crafted and enough seating for up to 8. There are more seating room at the island bar.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, one of which is a king size bedroom and there is a queen size bed in the other plus there is a full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The living room offers a nice and cozy wood burning stove for those cold winter days and Roku TV.

There are 2 more bedrooms on the lower level. One bedroom offers a queen size bed and the other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds for the kids. There is also a wood burning stove and satellite TV on the lower level as well. The 2nd Roku TV is in the family/game room.

After a day of hiking, canoeing, shopping, or horseback riding, slip into the 6 person hot tub and relax. Let the soothing jets transport you to tranquility and listen to the sounds of the built in waterfall! The views from this cabin are incredible!!

Incommunicado is the perfect way to spend quality time with the family. For the outdoor lovers, enjoy the nearby state parks, canoeing such as Riverside Canoe & Tube Rentals and Zaloo's Canoes, or hiking at one of the many trails in Ashe County. If you like horseback riding Burnt Hill Stables is a great place to take the entire family! For more information about the area visit Ashe County Chamber.

At Incommunicado, we believe that nobody should be left behind. We will allow you to bring your four-legged family member, under 40 pounds, with you for a onetime nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet. Isn't it wonderful that for once you won't have to wonder how your best friend is doing in the kennel "back home?"

There is a 2 night minimum for off peak seasons and a 3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October. 4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday and a 7 night minimum for the July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays.

Check in time is 4:00 pm or after and check out time is 10:00 am.

Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.

Weekend get away

The house was had a beautiful view and was clean. There was no firepit as is advertised so that was a little disappointing, but the hot tub was great. We were able to take short drives to the Virginia Creeper Trail and Grayson Highland state Parks.

Perfect getaway

Spent a weekend away with friends and couldn’t have stayed in a better place. Having coffee on the deck looking over the mountains was beautiful. We cooked a lot of meals, played games, and it’s only about 30 minutes from our favorite hiking spot Grayson Highlands.

Can’t beat the location and scenery- exactly what we were looking for with beautiful mountain view and serene birdsongs in the early morning hours. Only hiccup was the hot tub- internal thermometer seems to be broken (thinks the tub is 115F) so the tub never heated up. Other than that the cabin was perfect

Perfect mountain getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. Location is convenient to many points of interest including state parks. Cabin is well appointed and our kids enjoyed variety of available board games. View from the porch is amazing and we enjoyed sitting out there and reading or having a cup of tea.

House is beautiful with long range views. No complaints about interior of house except floors and throw rugs should have been cleaner. Driveway is not paved all the way to the house and is very steep. Property manager himself came and made sure driveway issues were solved. These little issues did not keep us from having a wonderful time! We would definitely go back!

A Great Family Christmas Gathering!

Great view from two large porches. Entire family enjoyed the hot tub, the two wood burning stoves, the pool table, and a cabinet full of books and games for all ages. Beds were very comfortable and the entire home itself was clean and updated. Plumbing repairs were in process in the downstairs kitchen, but we didn't need a second kitchen. Stacey was wonderful; he was helpful by watching the weather (our booking followed a 14" blizzard) and the condition of the roads prior to our trip. We would definitely book this property again.

Beautiful weekend in the mountains!

Our group of 8 had a wonderful time at Incommunicado. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and we enjoyed cooking our meals in the beautiful kitchen. Close to hiking and amazing views right off the deck! We highly recommend a visit to Molley Chomper cidery in Lansing (right next to Fort Awesome). Stacey was very responsive when we had a question during our stay. Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot with us!!!

House was clean, and worth the money spent. It pays to have a 4wd vehicle , due to the driveway if it's raining or snowing. The neighbors dog is the welcoming committee. Nice Labs, Kept my dog company

The house was very spacious with plenty of beds, a nice interior and a good hot tub. The house has two floors each with its own kitchen, sink and dining room, so we could have multiple activities going on at once. We had a great stay, and didn't want to leave at the end of the weekend!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We spent a week at Incommunicado smack in the middle of Winter. The snow fell a good 3-4" on our first morning. The view out of the cabin to the snow-capped mountains was just perfect! There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room to roam. Well equipped with entertainment for days. Games, puzzles, video games, pool table, hot tub, you name It! Super clean and even had 4 neighborhood dogs visiting us throughout our trip. Sweetest labs and 1 Bassett Hound. Renter Beware: visiting in the winter? This driveway is STEEP!! if it's iced you will need to park at the bottom of the mountain and walk up CAREFULLY up the side of the driveway. If the roads are favorable, put it in first gear and don't slow up. You will make it... it's a paved driveway. Just come prepared. Dealing with Stacy was a breeze. He accomodated our needs in a moment's notice. Great customer service. Would definitely return.

Cozy spot for the whole family.

Our family spent 7 nights and we had a wonderful stay. Very cozy but plenty of space for everyone. The view from the front porch is beautiful! It should be said... In the event, there is snow and/or ice, the driveway would probably be difficult without 4 wheel drive. West Jefferson has plenty of great local restaurants and shops about 20 mins away. Be sure to check out Rosebud Bakery and Art of Oil! We would definitely recommend Incomunicado if you are looking for a quiet, cozy getaway with the family.
